    Rocky Mountain Brew Fest

You're probably talking about the Stanley Hotel in "The Shining". The Stanley Hotel was also used to film many scenes from the movie "Dumb and Dumber". Estes Park is also famous for being home to F.O. Stanley, and Enos Mills. And the Lawn Lake dam failure that flooded Estes Park (3-4ft of...

Most beautiful place you have ever been

Depends on the time of year you go. 4th of July is very busy (that's been the only time I've been there when I would call it bumper to bumper traffic), and the rest of July is pretty busy as well. The best thing to do in that area is get out on to the trails. Most just pass through and see...

    Rocky Mountain Brew Fest

I wish I could be there. We go to RMNP every year. I'm very familiar with the Estes Park Brewery. I'm a fan of their Stinger Honey Wheat. It looks like a fun time. For anyone going there looking for a place to stay, I'd suggest checking out McGregor Mountain Lodge. --Aaron:mug:

    Car Question

Happens while you're driving, not while stopping right? Brakes pop into mind with the sound you describe.

Mini Mash System for Extract Brewers

From John Palmer's estimation it is a perfect sized cooler for you. Check out the following link for a manifold you could build for that cooler...click here!! I'm thinking about using a 34qt. rectangular cooler that I've already got to build up a mash tun. --Aaron

Mini Mash System for Extract Brewers

I'd be interested. I've been looking into moving up to partial mash brewing so this interests me quite a bit. I'm not sure what I'd be willing to spend. Partial mash brewing would be the way for me to go for the indefinite future as I don't see AG being very practical for me with the limited...

    OK opinions please

I just checked, and learned, that you would be obligated as the highest bidder. Good thing you didn't go bid on something else and win. --Aaron

    OK opinions please

I'd suggest reading eBay's policy. I'm not so sure that you're obligated to buy it after you had been outbid....even if he retracted. --Aaron

First brew taste = YES! I didn't screw up!

Thanks guys! I'm going to start an oatmeal stout soon. Most of this blueberry wheat will be gone to many friends in town and in other states that have asked for some. I think after it's all done I'll have less than twelve for myself. mysterio, I just used an extract kit that my lhbs had put...

First brew taste = YES! I didn't screw up!

I was going to wait two weeks until I tried my first brew.....you all know how that goes. I only made it a week. I went downstairs to feed the dog and was temped by the boxes of bottled blueberry wheat calling my name. I couldn't resist! It was good! I'm sure it'll be great in a few more...
