Nope, just Tart Cherry juice and sugar! I've used the raspberry version in a Raspberry Melomel w/ Orange Blossom honey and I'm very happy with the results.

Thanks! I added 1oz of Cherry Syrup & 7oz of water and got 11.0 Brix. Added a second oz of syrup and ended up at 19.0 Brix. This syrup comes in 33oz bottles and should end up right about $5/gallon of juice! Here is some more info on the syrup...

If could ask an ingredient question. What type/size of vanilla beans are you using? I've got 11 Grade A 7"+ Madagascar Bourbon Beans from Madagascar and 11 Grade A 7"+ Tahitian Vanilla Beans from Papua New Guinea on their way. I'm leaning towards using two of the Tahitian beans, but was...

Then once the hash browns are done, add them to the bacon weave and roll it up. Cut it up and you have some bacon awesomeness!!! And since I had to use the bacon, we made up some fillet mignon for dinner. Along with some fresh mashed potatoes and a salad w/ carrots, garlic and...

    Bacon & Cheese Burrito

Got the bacon woven together and covered it with a little of my favorite spice (from Rendezvous in Memphis, TN) Threw that into the oven at 400 deg for about 20 minutes. While the bacon weave was cooking in the oven I started working on the ABT's. I used 8oz cream cheese, and 1tsp of the...

    Bacon & Cheese Burrito

Ok, I'll get some pictures posted but here is what we had for dinner tonight. I went to the store and bought a couple packages of bacon, and started thinking what else I could use it for. So I made 10 ABT's (Atomic Buffalo Turds) I made the Bacon and Cheese Burrito as well, but I added a...

Lorena, When you get them, open up the Crystal and it all will come to you. After packaging up 22 of the 33lbs of Crystal I'm wishing I had some for myself. They are smelling fantastic and I think they would work well for a flavor/aroma hop in a Pale Ale or IPA. For the holidays some...

I haven't found Sterling to be as spicy as Liberty but it might make a decent subsitution in a Rye Pale Ale or Rye IPA, where I normally use Liberty. I've still got a decent stock of Liberty so no subs there for me anytime soon. Here are some recipes on Beertools that use Sterling...

    D-47 question

Semi-sweet is right. I used D-47 in my raspberry melomel w/ 15lbs honey in a 6gal batch w/ 66oz raspberry syrup and it was semi sweet. Finished about 1.008 before I added the remaining 20oz of raspberry syrup. D-47 topped out for me right at 14.5%, so 16lbs of honey in a 5gal batch plus your...
