    Raspberry Syrup?

RE Thought #2: I do plan to keg my meads and force carb. So killing the yeast with campden tablets is OK, and I can back sweeten if needed. I do have a beer gun so I plan on filling up some 12-22 Oz flip tops that I've been saving. RE Thought #3: After I got home I did some internet searching...

    Raspberry Syrup?

I've got 24lbs of Orange Blossom honey and I am planning on a dry petilant sack mead using Cuvee yeast and a sweet sparkling raspberry melomel using D-47. Has anyone seen or used Raspberry Syrup? I found this stuff for $4/bottle. What I bought is the same stuff except it Raspberry. The...

    15 gallon keg cleaning techniques?

Exactly what EvilTOJ said. I'd need to double check. We use two different stoppers, but they both are the same size. One is solid (which we use when we clean them) and the other has the hole drilled thru it (which we use when we ferment w/ a standard airlock).

    Home brewing in the UK?

Not at all. This department (in the UK) doesn't have many F2F w/ clients and part of my job is to change that. Part of my job is to make myself available to our clients and to provide an expertise that hasn't been available there for a while. Ideally I would be working from home 25% of the...

For the first six months they are paying for the following: 1 round trip ticket per month All hotel and transportation expenses $750/month stipend I also get $500 for a tax advisor and they handle all of my imigration paperwork. After 6 months I can either head back to the states and...

    Home brewing in the UK?

I have accepted a position with my current company that would send me to London 1-2 weeks a month with the intention of moving there for good after 6 months. Does anyone know of any websites/forums that is dedicated to UK/EU home brewers? Don't worry I'll still frequent this place, but it...

    What's brewing this weekend - June 28-29?

Hopefully I will be knocking out a Dunkelweizen tomorrow and a Dusseldorf Alt on Saturday. I might knock out a English IPA instead of the Alt so that I can get a nice yeast cake of WLP013 for an English Barleywine. So many options so little time!

    Kansas City Bulk Supply Run!

Have you spoke with the guys from Lawrence Brewers Guild or the KC Bier Meisters about their bulk grain purchases? Might be easier than driving all the way across the state, twice.

23 jets on Burners - too many, how to scale down?

I got flames out the side until I lowered mine to almost 4" from the bottom of the kettle. I mispoke earlier. What I meant was that I had to drop mine a further 1-2" (to get to where I am now) because I started with the burner 2" from the bottom of the kettle.

23 jets on Burners - too many, how to scale down?

You stated that your flames are wrapping around your kettle. Plugging up some of your jets with bolts won't solve your issue. It sounds like your burner is too close to the bottom of your kettle. I know that a few of us (me included) have had to drop our burners another 1-2" to achive that...

    new conical

I wish you good luck, but a lot of the people have tried sealing it and it fails. Hence the reason why the recomendation was to switch to the Norwesco model. I should be back home by Friday and I'll post some of the links.

    Brutus Ten ????

My only concern with hard plumbing copper for the pilots is breakage. I know that when I transported my Brutus 10 clone a few weeks ago the burners were heavy enough to make the 1/2" black steel piping to flex a little anytime I hit a pot hole. Ironically enough I had a small leak in one...

    Recirculating Ice Water Chiller

I used that same 1855GPH pump and loved it. Based upon this info from Blichmann you need at least 300GPH to chill properly.
