I second on the metal caps and a sharpie, and I’ve also done the little piece of masking tape.
Usually I’ll just abbreviate AA amber ale,OF Octoberfest...etc. you’ll get sick of writing on 50+ bottles

Sounds about right. Depending on recipe and yeast used compared to your other batches.
I bet 66* is the lower end of the temp for your yeast and it just tends to work a little slower so there’s not a huge krausen.

I used to do the same. I would shop all over and try different options with shipping. And it would drive me crazy.

I use brewers friend. The online version is nice and there’s also an app that’s handy.
I can update my brew day in real time instead of jotting down notes and waiting to get to my laptop
Man... all these look amazing. I placed an order for an Octoberfest that I plan on doing warm. I’m super excited to try this. It will totally change my brewing.

As much as all grain is great, sometimes I still brew extract. Just for a quick brew day to build up the pipeline extract works great and does what I need.
And after brewing a lot using both methods even if you were to tell me you had all the greatest equipment and everything ever needed to do...
Another thing to consider is where you will be brewing. Most start in their kitchens(which most kitchens can’t do a full boil)
So if you plan to start in your kitchen and not invest in a burner and 10 gallon kettle or an electric all in one unit. Then extract is where you’ll need to start...
You ever want to upgrade but then think,what I have works. And what if what I upgrade doesn’t work as good and ends up on the shelf. That’s $ I could of spent on ingredients making more beer.
That’s my dilemma every time I want to upgrade something.
Plus I think most of it is from the wife...
