Do you guys set a limit on your drinks?

I hardly ever drink, which I suppose is weird for a homebrewer. I can go several months without touching a beer. But when I drink, I don't really have a limit. I drink as I see fit at the time. But it's usually 1-3 beers. When it comes to the stronger stuff, I drink less if it's something...

    Brewster from Brewolution

Don't think you're gonna have much luck here, mostly Americans and that's a Danish company. Recently saw this on Humlegården, seems interesting but a few things are bothering me a little. The size, not a huge deal but still (too small). The hoses and hose connections look cheap and flimsy, but...

Beer I love but don't wanna clone

Brewdog Tokyo. If I had 19-25 liters of it... I'd never see the light of day again.

    What are you drinking now?

Drinking my first Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, accually first Sierra Nevada anything. I like it, it's similar to a beer of my own. They cost almost 3 euro here though.

    Lhbs

Don't just offer to mill their grains, offer to mill it to their needs. There can be a huge difference, granted it'll be a PITA. Especially if they don't know what they want or need. Create your own kits. They can buy most things elsewhere, but not your kits.

Show us your Mead in a photo!!!

Medovukha, low ABV hop mead served very fresh - still with CO2 from fermentation. Very tasty. I used either EKG or Hallertauer Mittelfrüher. The bag was unlabeled, which is sort of why I used it. 5 grams, a few minutes boil, cool it down add some honey until you hit about 1.040-1.060-ish (I...

whats the worst brewing accident you have witnessed or been a part of?

Thankfully, this didn't exactly turn out to be an accident. But me and my old man had done several tests with water, to see if his new electric brewery was safe. Then on the friggin' brew day it started leaking RIGHT where the electric element was mounted. Scary.

Carboy doesn't fit in a 5 Cu. Ft. chest freezer

Extend it like you would with a keezer?

Show us your Mead in a photo!!!

They sell them at the biggest brewshop in Sweden, and I'm guessing the ones in Germany too. And in pet stores.

    my new set up

First of all, I wasn't trying to be hostile. Secondly, seriously... less work? Have you ever tried BIAB? It's the easiest and simplest thing ever. The only thing that sucks with BIAB, is lifting a hot bag of grains and squeeze. But like with most things, you can even make that easier. I have...

    my new set up

Explain how BIAB isn't real all grain. There's no need to "upgrade" to anything.

    What are you drinking now?

A home made porter, delicious. It's my after dinner beer. Pre dinner beer was a home made IPA.

    Price per batch

I stopped worrying about cost per batch the moment I drank my first all grain beer. But to the question at hand, how exactly does one sacrifice quality in home brew? All the ingredients are top notch and have reasonble prices. As long as you keep refining your technique and build up your...

Funny things you've overheard about beer

Not to mention hops apparantly gives the beer body.

    What are you drinking now?

Saturday... 09:00... and I'm drinking what was supposed to be a smoked christmas ale brewed with juniper bush/twigs. It's not fully carbed but daaaaaamn this is one nice beer, especially for a failure.

    Naming your brew

I use different themes, anything from Irish mythology to multi-language puns or even movie titles. For example Cúchulainn (Irish stout), Hrafninn Flýgur (Black IPA), Dubbelt Så God (Belgian Dubbel).

How did you get into home brewing?

I think I've mentioned this elsewhere, or at least parts of it. But oh, well... It all started at my sisters wedding, several years back. They were serving mead for the toast. I think it was a spiced mead, smelled like gingerbread cookies. And as soon as I had my first sip of mead, I knew I had...

so what's the worst part of brewing for you

Waiting. I don't mind cleaning, botteling, paying, carrying heavy stuff... maybe it's just me - but it ain't worth it if it's not hard work! And you'll clean regardless of brewing or not, granted not as much but still. And I have no idea why people hate botteling so much...
