My old man gave me a remmington hairtrimmer. So I got rid of 2+ years of hair, plus the side burns that could put Wolverine to shame. Downside is I look like a deranged neo nazi. Also I just noticed I gotta trim the side of my beard.

If I'm not mistaken, that's the yeast. Happened to me once, I sprinkled yeast and had really tight headspace so shaking and stirring down the yeast didn't do much. When yeast starts to work, it reproduces... growing, in other words. If you haven't mixed it properly with the wort or whatever...

To be honest, for the best melomel I've made I used really cheap and sub-par honey. Tried making a plain mead using the same honey... ugh, not good. But the melpmel turned out amazing. Ended up making the plain into a spiced melomel.

It's not a beard until you can braid it! Not a current picture, nowdays it's just a 13-ish cm goatie, 'stasch and sidebruns. In the picture, those are three braids. My nick, Onihige, means beard demon btw in Japanese.

Again, we're talking about different things. My mead's a birch sap mead, not a birch syrup mead. Just birch sap, honey and yeast.

Some programs don't really allow much settings, which is kinda bad since a lot of it matters in the calculations.

They sell syrup, not sap. Would still make an intresting mead though.

Plenty of birch here in Sweden (I can see three very tall ones from my window where I sit), my old man tapped them so I don't really know where though..

Oops... It's a birch sap mead, OG 1.045. I intend to make it a sparkling low ABV mead. Really starting to like those...

This takes the cake... watched a Swedish beer documentary. Kind of dissapointed, but at the very end something odd happens. After going all over Europe, from Czech to Italy. He then returns to Sweden, visits an old man who is unhappy that the stores have removed his favorite dark light ABV beers...

Switch to metric: 1 kg of water = 1 liter. But all my buckets, I have two kinds, are accurate. One kind has a sticker, I don't like those. And the other kind is printed on.
