    Grainfather!!

So I tried this for the first time yesterday and it worked. I just hit a button on the webapp and it sent the recipe direct to the grainfather connect like the app would do. It did not seem to continuously update the process in brewfather--i.e., I still had to hit buttons to tell brewfather to...

Best Program Setup for Grainfather Brewing

I use brewfather. Not only does it perform ph calculations, but it can also connect to the grainfather controller and send the recipe directly to the unit.

Grainfather G30 with false bottom issues

Here's the link, btw: False bottom for Grainfather hole version Ø 1 mm I think it ended up costing about $70 shipped.

Grainfather G30 with false bottom issues

We’ll, I should have done my research. That store is a fraud (Long Island homebrew). Never got the product and disputed the charge. Instead, I bought it direct from Italy and it came via DHL in less than a week. It fits perfect and the legs hold it up above the pump. I got the one with 1...

Split the water supply to a hose bib splitter that feeds a @Buckeye_Hydro RO system my CFC.

    Basement Bar and Brewery

Electrician finished the wiring last week and I spent a very frustrating weekend completing the plumbing. 12 trips to Home Depot later and it’s now fully operational.

    Love Golf?

I think it just adds to the variety and uniqueness of the course. A guy I played with said he's played True Blue dozens of times and he's only ever played 1 green. So it doesn't sound like they use the other very often. True Blue was designed by Mike Strantz, who was known for making bold and...

    Love Golf?

Got to play Caledonia and True Blue in South Carolina last week. Both were great, but Caledonia really blew me away. There is one hole at True Blue that forms into 2 different greens. Sometimes it’s a dogleg left, sometimes a dogleg right.

Grainfather G30 with false bottom issues

When I first learned of the robobrew/brewzilla false bottom fix it was sold out everywhere. Now I can only find the new version that says it doesn't' fit the grainfather. I just ordered this, more expensive one. We'll see how it works. BacBrewing False Bottom for Grainfather 30L (1 mm Ø Holes)

    Braumeister, Brewtools or Grainfather?

I really have no reason to move on from my G30. Its just so easy. My only real complaint is I need to use a hop spider. Everything else--faster heating, larger batches, improved grain basket, etc., are all really nice, but probably not worth the cost to upgrade. But as I see all these little...

    Braumeister, Brewtools or Grainfather?

Thanks for the response. I'm intrigued because it seems to have a lot attachments and options, but of course, those all cost a lot more. On the grainfather, I send my recipe to the controller, dough in when it tells me the strike temp is met, and then walk away while it mashes/recirculates...

    Braumeister, Brewtools or Grainfather?

What makes the brewtools more hands on than the other systems? For comparison, I use a Grainfather 30L.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

better hop filtering would solve my biggest complaint. At that point my only hesitation really is that I’ve become lodo-curious and it’s difficult to achieve on an all in one. But the ease of use is probably worth that compromise

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I’ve got an older Grainfather connect and this really has me thinking about upgrading to the g40

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Thanks for sharing this. I planned to focus on color/appearance on my next few brews and would like to develop a base yellowish and a base orangish color. Do you happen to know roughly where these fall on the SRM scale in your software?

    Growlerwerks uKeg

Do these ball lock caps serve any function other than carbing in the uKeg? Just curious because I got a uKeg today, and I don't intend to carbonate beer in it, but it seems like the sort of thing I'd find some use for, like purging the growler?
