    Treehouse Brewing Julius Clone

I've brewed a bunch of IPAs and pales with just wheat, wheat/oats(super hazy), and just oats. My guess is that they use oats in most there beers. Green looks like a combo of both oats and wheat from my experiences lol. So murky and velvety (velvety as TH describes Green, is usually used in...

    Treehouse Brewing Julius Clone

I have definitely got an acidulated malt flavor from a few of their brews in the past. I've also got that flavor from Baby Genius by Bissell Brothers. I think there is a fine line there where it's noticeable. I had a can of Julius this summer that was very acidic as well. I brewed an IPA for a...

    Treehouse Brewing Julius Clone

I'm wondering if it's Galaxy and Columbus...I just brewed a hoppy blonde with Columbus and Galaxy with a 5 minute addition and a 170 degree hopstand. I'm wondering if the peachy flavor is from Conan at a low temp. Everyone says they get juicy fruit bubblegum esters from TH beers so I'm thinking...

Maine Beer Co. Lunch IPA clone?

I'm kind of thinking they use may be using wlp 008 east coast ale. I've had many beers attenuate down to 1.007-8 by using pure O2 and a little sugar.

Achieving a silky/pillowy/creamy mouthfeel (a la Hill Farmstead)?

That's a nice lineup of breweries. We may have to do Night shift as well. Ha we booked our annual vermont trip not even knowing that fest was going on. If we go it'll be for session 1 and I'll let you know.

Hey I wish we could have! I'll be hitting Arizona Wilderness tomorrow then in July my homebrewing buddy and I are going to hit up Trillium, Treehouse then Hill Farmstead if anyone in this thread wants to grab a beer. July 16th(Trillium/Treehouse) then Vermont 17-18th then back to Boston on the...

Achieving a silky/pillowy/creamy mouthfeel (a la Hill Farmstead)?

It depends on the beer. Also we all have to realize that you get calcium chloride from the malt as well. Try equal chloride to gypsum in your next beer then thank me later:)

Achieving a silky/pillowy/creamy mouthfeel (a la Hill Farmstead)?

I was just in Iowa and went to Toppling Goliath. I can say that based on all the beers I had, they were right on par with all the Hill Farmstead beers I tried. When I got back I tried a glass of a Chinook/Citra IPA that I racked before I went and I got the same mouthfeel. I used Dennys Favorite...

Heady Topper- Can you clone it?

Hey guys I've been reading this post off and on and there's a lot of good stuff on here. I just wanted to point out a few things that I heard on a couple podcasts from John Kimmich himself. He states that Heady Topper is 75 ibus on the Under My Host podcast. Then on The Tap Handle show podcast...
