Where Do You Buy Your Beer Glasses?

I travel for work (not as much lately) and try to find brewpubs for dinner while out of town. I will usually be able to talk the waitress into giving me a glass, but sometimes have to pay the $5 for it.

    Black and Tan's

Well, I will admit it is not a perfect line, but the stout definitely sets on top of the pale ale. The stout will "tail" down into the PA a bit around the sides of the pint. That being said I will retract my statement saying it is all in the spoon and change it to a combo of the spoon and nitro...

    Black and Tan's

Not true. It is all in the spoon. I do not have a nitro set up for stouts. When I have a stout and pale ale on tap I often do a black and tan with the same layered effect as a pub would create.

    Digital Probe Thermometers

Ditto on the oven to dry it out. (of course do not put the digital part in the oven :cross: ) I have not done this yet, but you can go to an auto or electronics store and buy some heat shrink tubing. It is a minimal cost to get what you have working.

    Hops won't settle

I dry hopped in the secondary and apparently when I racked into the keg too much hop sludge transfered.

    Hops won't settle

I have a RYEPA that was kegged a couple of weeks ago. When I hooked it up to my kegerator the fluid line got clogged with hop sludge. I jacked up the pressure and got it cleared out. It has now been two weeks and I still get hops floating in every pour. Will carbonation keep the hops from...

    Pizza Beer

The news footage has the brewer adding slices of pizza to the boil for flavor, along with garlic and oregano.

    Boil-Off rate

I do 5 gallon batches and lose 1 gallon in a 60 minute boil. Generally you will lose 15% an hour.

Ready to go AG..need cooler buying advice

I have the 48 qt Ice cube with a SS braid. It hold temps very well. It does not have the wheels and I got it at Walmart for $15 including tax. I splurged on the brass fittings for the drain. This is the drain on on my old Coleman rectangle 48 qt cooler (this cooler did not hold temps very...

    Kegerator finished, but ...

I had the same problem. I just removed the top (you may need to pry it off carefully with a small screwdriver) and with the tap on, I held the inside and cranked it tight. I did not need a wrench. After it is cranked down tight, remove the tap and realign it and tighten it up.

    Just gotta ask about this

I had a Mr. Beer and the end product was horrible. It took me about 7 years to finally take the plunge on making real home brew. A year later I am All Grain, kegging and serving from my DIY kegerator. :ban:

    Learning to Ride....

I would suggest getting whatever you are comfortable with. If you want a sport bike, get one. If you want a cruiser, get one. If you just want to save on gas, get a Vespa. No sure where this quote came from, but Harley rides probably wave to other bikers more than other riders. I know it is...

    Let's talk CO2 refills=

I paid $7.50 for a 10# refill. Waited about 20 minutes. I originally paid $90 for the tank, filled.

    No kegorator...

Search Craigslist or your local paper for deals on used refrigerators. You can often find some as low as $50. You can use an inexpensive party tap and just open the fridge when you want to pour a pint.

I have a 10# tank so I opted to keep it outside the fridge. I just finished up mine last night, I hope to hook up a couple kegs this evening.
