I just about start brewing with all grain and i wanted to know. How many pounds of barley can you put in a 5 gallon mash tun?
I see a lot of recipes that have 10 12 even 15 pounds and don't want to buy one that will not fit in the tun.

i was thinking more along the lines of flavor... i Don't want to increase the alcohol content just the Flavor. I thought if it was done fermenting it wouldn't make any more alcohol. Sorry i should have specified... Bröst!
