    So who's brewing this weekend?

I may try to brew my IPA on Friday. I'm headed to Fayetteville, AR, for the A&M-Arkansas game around noon, so I took the whole day off. Might try to get a brewday in Friday morning. If not, maybe Sunday evening after we get back.

    Homebrew and GTA 5..... BLISS

I have neither home brew ready to drink, nor GTA V...I'll have to settle for a craft beer and Saint's Row 4 instead.:tank:

    Finally took the plunge

Welcome to the addiction! I'm a new brewer myself, having just bottled my next batch. I've got a new outdoor propane burner on the way so I can move my brewday activites outside, and keep them from "overpowering the scentcy in the kitchen," in my wife's words! My first batch fermented a...

What are you doing instead of brewing this weekend?

Drill weekend, so I'll be at the armory most of the weekend. Just ordered a new outdoor propane burner so I can get away from the electric stove in the kitchen, so it also depends on when that comes in. If it gets here next week, then hopefully I can brew up my IPA next weekend!

    Hello from western Arkansas!

Welcome from another newbie brewer! Like Cyclman said, I would concentrate on getting good at extract or partial mash before moving to all grain. That's my plan, at least. I just bottled my first Extract, and plan on doing a brew day on my second as soon as my new outdoor propane burner...

Had a few of these at a bar in Bruges several years ago. Once I get better at homebrewing, I'm going to have to try this out!

Funny things you've overheard about beer

Ok, give me a break on this one, because I was in college and drinking beer was for getting drunk back then.... So, we're doing our normal Saturday night keg party at the duplex I lived in off campus. We had a kegerator, but for these parties, we would just have the kegs in a trashcan on the...

    New to brewing

I have to thank Shred for inspiring me to start my own blog about my new hobby! As for the topic at hand, I will agree with the poster who reccomended Northern Brewer's Knowledge page. I certainly learned alot that helped get me started there, as well as just browsing topics on this forum.

    Brewery names--what's your story?

So, my first several idea were apparently very unoriginal, as a quick Google search shows me that they're already taken. Here's what I'm thinking now: Thirteen Alpha Brewing Company 13A is my MOS code (field artillery officer). I'm trying to make it Army/Artillery related if I can. I...
