room temp is 70 wort is 76. its 15 gallons in 3 better bottles, i just put all 3 of them in a giant cooler filled with cold well water. it should cool pretty fast, then i will maintain it with frozen water bottles. do you think the 24 hours at 76 degrees will cause off flavors?

i have a batch that is fermenting away at 76 degrees, i really dont have anyway of lowering it this time, should i expect off flavors?

i dont know about the others, but my foodsaver wastes alot of material when sealing, at least 2 inches. mine is one of the more expensive models, some of the cheaper ones dont look like they waste as much.

i had a stout that tasted like pure plastic after carbing in the keg for two weeks, now, 3 months later its great with no hint of plastic. (only plastic it touched was a better bottle)

i just brewed 15 gallons of 1.044 og extract brew, when i finished, i discovered i only had two packs of nottingham so i devided them up evenly between the 3 carboys. because of the holiday, my local HBS wont be open until tuesday. any thoughts?

when i have things delivered like that i just use my atv ramps from the big rig to my truck and just slide the pallet down into the bed.

my schedule is pretty flexible, i could probably drive to raleigh and pick up bags for the charlotte area if that would help people out.

flat rate pallet shipping is $155 + 15% fuel surcharge to NC totaling ~$180 a pallet is up to 42 bags. shipping would come out to ~$4.30 a bag if we got 42.

those aren't cleaned and don't have new o rings, thats not a very good price, and the shipping kills it. ($55 shipped to NC) it would seem that even at morebeer's full price or AHS would be a better option for everybody needing shipping.

the prices have been and will continue to go up since they arent used as much in the soda industry anymore. i dont think they are going to skyrocket, but the $20 and under kegs are going to be fewer and farther between, people will find those deals, but they will be the exception, not the rule.

where are you getting cleaned, reconditioned kegs with new gaskets for less than $20? i'll take all they have! i guess it was a good enough deal that it sold out and the deal is gone.
