Convert 3v to Electric, EBIAB, or sell and get all in one system

I was in a similar situation, though i didnt have a 3V rig. But i just went with a CBS system with a SS mesh screen for the "bag"... was about 500 if i recall for it. I built the BCS panel for it, but a simple pid would be more than enough. I dont like the CBS I have, but I like the eBIAB method...

    moving to a plate chiller

I went from IC to plate... there are drawbacks to each i guess. But I wouldnt go back to IC unless I was only doing 5 gal or so. 10 took forever. I use a SS filter so im not worried about anything going in, I blast it with hot water IMMEDIATELY after using it, so far no worries. In winter its...

    Vacuum sealing hops?

I just spray some starsan in there and when i dries then seal it up... never really gave that much thought to be honest... i figured the cold would keep them. so far no probs in last couple years... and makes it super easy to use.

    Vacuum sealing hops?

I have found that mason jars work well for this... otherwise i was having to reseal bags too much and wasting them. Now i just vac it, pop it open, take out what i need then vac the lid back on pop in freezer... oh yes, take out the tag and put in jar :) so you know what they are :)

Tying Knots In The Devils Tail Smoked Porter

I can definitely tell the smoke but I dont think it's too overpowering. Glad I didn't smoke all the grain that would have been too much I think...should age nicely I think.

Tying Knots In The Devils Tail Smoked Porter

I get about what I usually get with my CBS eBIAB rig... not great but I gave up trying to get better with it and just enjoy brewing more :) getting my own mill helped a little bit... but only about 205 of the grain is actually smoked... and probably not much at that... just wondering if/how the...

Tying Knots In The Devils Tail Smoked Porter

I came pretty close to hitting my numbers gravity wise. My efficiency with my CBS system has never been that great to begin with. Will smoking the malt reduce that? The smoke wasnt that strong, but I figured I would go lighter rather that heavy on the smoke until i knew how it would come out.

    BeerShed Ceiling insulation

In that case you can probably get away with 1 in or 1.5 cut into strips. You can also get foil faced that looks like aluminum. Just make sure its closed cell foam so it wont absorb water... I would think in PNW thats what would be locally available anways.

    BeerShed Ceiling insulation

Location? I would say that leaves only Rigid Foam board for insulation since you don't want spray or water absorption to be factors... depending on where you are 2 in should give you a pretty good R value.
