    Wiring Ranco Questions

Nope, but thats probably because I dont understand really how a fridge is constructed. This is a full size fridge like in a kitchen not a dorm fridge. So maybe I am unfamiliar with how they work. The feezer is a stamped aluminum box above the fridge compartment. Is there not two...

    Wiring Ranco Questions

I have a leftover Ranco ETC1100 from another hobby, it came prewired with a power strip. I just bought a fridge with top freezer on Craigs. I assume I could just plug the whole unit into ranco and drive it that way. However, I would prefer to have the Ranco drive the fridge and have the...

Can You Brew It recipe for Green Flash West Coast IPA

i have no idea what the commercial version tastes like. But I brewed this recipe. I measure in grams and was a tad heavy handed a couple grams here or there. I used whole hops for the entire process so i lost wort and effieciency. Best beer I have ever brewed, hands down at 7.7% it goes down...

    Recipe Critique (Belgian Strong/Tripel)

Styrian Golding is what is use in my Belgians along with saaz as noted earlier. Doing more research on Styrian Golding has produced that it is a ecotype of fuggles grown in Slovenia border. Several sources site this.

Harvesting yeast from a bottle of wild devil...

You would need to build it up in stages. Very little amount of cells in bottle. Do they use Brett in wild devil or is it a true wild proprietary strain they captured themselves? If it's just brettanomyces I would just buy it, unless your trying to learn yeast washing and starter techniques...

    Recipe Critique (Belgian Strong/Tripel)

iPad likes to auto correct. Apparently fuggles and Styrian are the same. News to me. Not sure the accuracy. Good luck let us know how it turns out.

What about buttering with saaz and using fuggles for aroma

    Recipe Critique (Belgian Strong/Tripel)

I would mash at 149 to 150 and do 60-90 mash. Use table sugar. Typical hops in Belgians are Styrian and saaz. Fuggles is a nice choice for smooth hopping. I would combine 3787 and 550. I would use these both at pitch. U need about 300 million cells at that gravity. One pack with starter...

    Water Geeks Needed

I think your right because if I recall the hardness in my report is just an equation of the calcium and magnesium added and divided by something. I remember at one point working it back. Ok I will grab one of my test kits and get the carbonate hardness.
