    Making Beer-Flavored Ice Cream

the SWMBO makes beer ice cream a bunch. The best was made with my Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Porter (Fat Elvis). It was made with beer, not just leftover ingredients. It was awesome. Did you get the KitchenAid mixer attatchment? Thats what we have. Works really well

No need for a keggle cutting jig..

Im sure he's just holding it there to take a pic. I cant imagine trying to run a grinder one handed, holding it like that, and trying to take a pic all at once. :drunk:

Brew Stand Caster Issue - Suggestions?

If you can weld, make a small trapezoid shaped piece of steel for each corner, drill a hole in it, weld it to the inside corner of the stand. Bolt on a stud mount caster.

    Automated Temp Controllers - reviews/suggestions

+1 for the Auber I just got one of these for my birthday. I used it a couple times just to see how it works. Works really well. Everything is included with it. Fan, adapter, thermocouple. The one thing that isnt included, instructions. Not that its hard to figure out, but not even a...

    Red Curry Shrimp and Pineapple

OK with me! I made a 1/2 size batch for the wife and I. I actually added more red curry to it. I had 1 Tbsp, and added another 1tsp. Otherwise the coconut was overwhelming everything. Worked out really well

    Surly's CynicAle : What Hops ?

I just ran across that kit myself. I forgot all about the fact NB had a clone. I think Surly is pretty good about giving out pretty close clones. The difference in the end result is probably more brewing technique than ingredients I'd bet. I know the SWMBO would love a keg of Cynic.. Going to...

    Surly's CynicAle : What Hops ?

And I'd bet its WLP550. I think Surly only uses a few yeasts. WLP007, WLP550, a lager of some kind, and Brett. As for the hops? Not a clue. I think they do contribute to the floral character some, in combination with the Belgian yeast. I love Cynic. I think a clone effort is in order..

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Big and Bold Rhubarb Wheat

The rhubarb in our garden is going gonzo this year. I really wanted to make a beer along the lines of Ovalde's Auroch's Horn on Rhubarb. This seems like exactly what I want. 5 gallons of this years belgian tripel might get the rhubarb treatment as well....
