The gold LME was dark not the dme. The dme was added and there was no color change. It was the LME that made it dark

I did the NB pro series kit today and the wort was the right color (golden) after mashing and then adding the one lb of gold DME, however after I added the gold LME at 15min the wort is dark (think brown ale).
