    YAT on Natural Gas

OK I've been on the fence on this for years mainly due to costs of cutting concrete plumbing etc... Most of the threads I see are fairly old so I wanted to make sure some of the newest thoughts and parts I may not have uncovered yet. My newish neighbor likes beer AND works for the gas...

    Attaching Fan inside kegerator

It's a standard PC muffin fan, 80 mm I think. I'm going to try and fashion some PVC pipe elbow to direct the air. I like that idea. One person in another forum suggested Silicone Glue... said it was removable. I just don't like the notion of holes and permanent stuff at least until I...

    Keg Cleaners B3's LLC

Lately I noticed on 2 of my kegs a line or deposit at the weld line between the keg wall and bottom. I usually clean with Oxy Clean and when I have it, I mix 1:1 with TSP. Recently I bought a jar of PBW and ran it through the pumps and lines etc... Sort of a deep clean of my brew setup...

    Attaching Fan inside kegerator

I have a fan I run in my kegerator that has been attached via hot glue (that sucks) and hook loop fasteners. That was OK but I'm looking for something better. Most glues I look at don't seem to hold well in the cold. I don't want to drill holes and would like to remove it from time to...

Blonde Ale Miller Lite (Really Triple Hopped)

I do this recipe every year now, sometimes a few times a year. The ladies seem to love it as do a few of their men. Those are the men that ask for a glass of wine at a Beer n BBQ party. I do the AE, then either dry hop on that or rack again and dry hop. I've moved my DH addition to a 5...

Gas manifold sanity check... Flare and Stainless tubing

So I have a Harbor Freight Flaring tool mainly for copper and the like. Today I realized I have a few feet of stainless tubing I could use (3/8). Aside from ensuring I get a proper flare is there anything I need to worry about such as the flare nut? My manifold is made up from 1/2 iron...

    Hot Water Heater Valve

Guys, I have no intention at this time to automate my gas supply however I had the untimely reason to exchange my water heater for one that holds water and does not leak like a sieve. It is a Kenmore Water Heater approx 23 yr old. Gas system worked fine. Question is, do I salvage the...

    Speidel Plastic Tanks

While I await my January shipment of the 60L model I have to say, your spigot statement is lame. I've been using spigots on my primary buckets for years. Documented and all. I'm going to retire my oldest bucket with spigot in January and grow potatoes in it. The bucket was my second...

    "Green" is Ugly!

How to get the best hop aroma from flameout additions?

Excellent thread ppl.... one thing I didn't catch anyone asking and I've been doing some thinking on this recently and was wondering... My 60 min additions (usually kept minimal on IPA/APAs) goes in my paint strainer bag along with all other additions. I've found my bitterness on some...

Blonde Ale Miller Lite (Really Triple Hopped)

About to embark on the 5th brewing of this, again going back to Mt Hoods for my hops (Home Grown). My question is water. I normally use my tap water via drinking water hose measured the night before with campden tablets added. This time I was thinking I'd use 10 Gal of RO water and the...
