For some reason I now have a hankering for big-a pizza pie.

    Brewzilla Gen4 Discussion/Tips Talk

Me neither. Maybe a little slow to drain through the grain basket when using flaked stuff but never a clog in the pump or tap.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I am not that familiar with Chit malt but I notice this hazy has no oats (malt or flaked). Does the Chit help with the mouthfeel like the oats normally do?

    RIP Old Workhorse

It's a shame appliances made today don't last that long. You're lucky to get 6 years out of them, let alone 61. I started putting my stickers on adhesive-backed magnets (you can buy them in sheets) so I can transfer them when the time comes...

    2024 Concerts

It's funny that you say you would normally not go to see Sammy Hagar but your forum alias is redrocker...? I saw him once when he was with VH. Mosters of Rock tour back in the 80's - Kingdom Come, Metallica, Dokken, Scorpions and VH.

    2024 Concerts

We were at this concert in Atlanta Saturday as well. Concert was awesome. My only gripe was the venue's decision to only have one set of gates for entry. This caused a 30+ min wait to get in so we missed a lot of Steve Miller. There were other gates, but they were closed. Poor decision and folks...

    'Flash Brewing'? This looks interesting!

Me too! I can see the positive side for some, but for me I'd miss hanging out around the brew kettle for a few hours with friends and some cold ones.

    Brewzilla Gen4 Discussion/Tips Talk

Interesting. When I moved to the brewzilla, I stopped doing the whirlpool/settle step. The way I saw it, in a traditional pot, a whirlpool collects all the trub into the middle so you can pull clear wort from the side. But the brewzilla pulls the wort down the middle to the pump and out, so what...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I've some, but not alot, of experience with multi-step mashes. Can you explain a little bit the rationale for your 2-step mash at those temps for a hazy? Thanks!

    Motor for Grain Mill

I ended up using the method I mentioned in post #22 above. I used this motor: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GCXX29H along with its corresponding hub: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096KLHV1V for a total cost of $26.69. I already had a cabinet, an old computer power supply and some spare wire. Here it...

Yeast question for a Quad - Don't understand BeerSmith....

I decided to go with BE-256 for the brew tonight. However, I noticed that the yeast package lists the ideal temperature as 15-20C / 59-68F. But their website lists the ideal temperature as 18-26C / 64.4-78.8F. Any thoughts on which of those is correct?

Sold 20 gallon tippy dump system and temperature controlled fermenters. $1500, $300 for fermenters.

@davemunro - I will be honest upfront - I am not interested in purchasing this as I do not have the room but I would love to hear more on those Peltier coolers. I am familiar with Peltier but did not know they could cool a fermenter that well. Did those come stock with those fermenters or is...
