Just finished my first Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS). It's a good stout with nice bourbon flavor, but I wouldn't camp out over night to get it like many people did.

That sounds like a plan. I have read about blending for complexity but I hadn't considered it being beneficial for carbonation. With multiple carboys tied up for months on these lambics it looks like I'm going to need to buy a few more!

Great responses from everyone. To Cranny's point, I think home brewing does a lot for hop appreciation. There's something special when you can hold fresh hops up to your nose then taste them in your beer.

I didn't taste apple or diacetyl in the first 6-pack that I bought, it was comparable to last year's from what I remember. I picked up another 6er yesterday that I didn't crack yet, I'll give it another look.
