Name That Skyline - Picture Game

Not dense enough to be Tijuana. From the curve of the bay, it’s not Rosarito. I think it’s Puerta Del Mar in Baja.

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

My glycol is set to 28F to keep my long-draw loop cold, which drops the temp in my tanks like a stone when the pump comes on. This generally gets me an overshoot, even with some tweaking of the parameters. The following work well for me: Temperature idle range top: 0.998 Temperature idle range...

To get beer profiles, so I have automated control of the temperature (see my post above which was lager in my glycol-cooled unitank). Otherwise the FTSs controller does constant temperatures fine.

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

@day_trippr I think @thestraw0039 is running the glycol version of the code which works fine with one sensor. I never got round to fixing the GUI for glycol, so both the beer and fridge temperatures display the same value. Control is done on the beer temperature.

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Back in January, I decided to put Brewpi Remix through its paces and programed in a fermentation profile I got from Bierstadt Lagerhaus in Denver, CO. A full 40 days in the fermenter, followed by three months of lagering. Damn this beer is good! Crystal clear and drinkable by the liter! Cheers!

Ah, cheers @LBussy a lower resistance pull-up has fixed the intermittent problems I have with the temp probe on my mash tun and HTL!

Apologies @jimyson, work was busier than expected this week so I didn't make it to the UPS store... Beer is currently chilling ready to ship on Monday.

@Andres Falconer has it, it's Cathedral Square in Milwaukee, WI. I used to live in the brick tower behind the square. My apartment had a great view of the old Pabst brewery!

It’s the Minnesota State Fair with the building in the background being the Lee and Rose Warner Livestock Barn. So St. Paul, MN.

Fellowship of the Drink XXVII: Welcome to the Club

@bwible according to Craft Beer and Brewing Magazine, Yuengling is top of the Craft Beer Top 50, so it’s totally legit in my opinion. Of course, I’m someone who appreciates the craftsmanship that goes into a can of Corrs Banquet Beer and dislikes NEIPAs, so what do I know 😄

How, and how often to clean mill?

I bang my mill on the bucket that the milled grains go into and then give it a sweep with brush from the dustpan and brush I use to sweep up the floor in my brewery! Sometimes I even sweep the grain dust into the bucket that’s going into the mash tun. I figure if it’s being boiled for 90 mins...

Hanoi, Vietnam it is! I was going to post this picture, but the tortoise seemed too good to pass up. @D.B.Moody you're up.

Same here! OK, this is not quite a skyline, but it is emblematic of a city... Where am I?
