    10gal cooler MLT

How did you figure out what your target gravity should be before the sparge? Also if you are using a hydrometer the 1.07.. reading is more like 1.09.. at 154* I think you have more a math issue than a flaw in equipment or materials. What should have been your pre-boil gravity 1.070 or is...

What could be causing slow yeast (not a starting question)

If I were you, I would pull out 500ml or so with a little bit of krausen, and force ferment it. Swirl it as much as you can, and keep it 80+. See what you gravity is after a day or so, and see what you get.

Feels Like the First Time - Amber Ale

I would mini mash the munich and victory. That being said i would drop my LME to sub in a few pounds of two row as well. I have gone to exclusively mini mashes now, so let me know if you need some help converting it. The hop schedule looks fine to me, but fairly new to recipe design.

I had the same issue with bubbles and I took the next size down tubing, and boiled the end and put it on my racking cane. It worked for me.

    so far so good

My fourth batch ended up with some off flavors due to temp control. Now that we are hitting 80's here in NC, I have been using a water bath adding frozen water bottles as needed. Good luck :mug:

Bottling and bucket sanitizing for the first time

Honestly, my first kit that I bought although not from midwest, came with "one-step" and I used it in the method you are mentioning. I have since found out that what was supplied is really just a cleaner, so I have since moved to oxyclean free and Star San. I didnt notice anything using the...

    Designing My Keg Setup

Thanks for the replies, if I went with the setup that integrator mentions, would the 10' hoses work with the low and high carbed beers or is that length for a 12psi setup.

    Designing My Keg Setup

I know this topic has been beaten to death, but after hours of research I have been left more confused and considering staying with bottling. I don't know if I am trying to do too much or just over thinking things. The setup I want is three kegs on tap, with a five keg manifold. I want to...

Has anyone seen this?! (yeast starter saga)

Im so glad I found this post I have spent the last 7hrs listening to this guy in the background. My boss just yelled at me for repeating, for repeating myself. I think it is ironic he is all about the BN since JZ said he has been experimenting with can kits and basically says it could place...
