Show us your Sous Vide Cooker!

Nice! I just picked up an Anova Sous Vide unit for $299 + shipping. They're still a fairly new product;mine works great. Holds rock steady at whatever temperature I set it at. Ramp up time is quick, and recovery time from when you put the bag in is fast as well. I liked dual-purposing...

Spike Brewing 15gal Kettle Group Purchase!

Ben - Got all 4 kettles and accessories in, and finally got around to using 2 of them today (still building the brew rig, so I haven't used all 3 yet). Very nice, and thanks for the great customer service (especially as I changed the order twice on you)!

Twist on the "Is it done fermenting" question

Thanks, Schnitzengiggle! I'm insanely OCD about sanitation, and I StarSan the heck out of everything that gets near my beer. Not to say that infection is an impossibility. SMelled good though, just like the others I've done with the same recipe. Didn't taste though. Dry hop was...

Twist on the "Is it done fermenting" question

I've searched the forums, and haven't run across this situation. I brewed a pair of 5 gallon IPAs, using the following ingredients: 8# 2 Row Brewers 3# 2 Row Pale 1# Caramel 3 ounces Citra at 60/15/5 in one, and 3 ounces Simcoe at 60/15/5 in the other. Both dry hopped with 1 ounce...

    ATL delurking

Long time listener, first time caller. Been brewing off and on since '96. Amazed to see the progress in the industry from then until now. Predominantly an ale guy (IPA, Nut Brown, Smoked, you name it), but I wander off into stout territory when the mood strikes (just bottled 2.5 gallons of...
