    Star San Cleanup on Floor

Ok, so let's just say I had a StarSan mishap on the Pergo type fake wood floor in the closet. It probably dripped a 1/4" out of the StarSan lid onto the floor and sat there a week. I thought I had cleaned it up pretty well using a rag and water but I'm afraid I have not. It seems like if I...

North East OHIO group grain buy

I always seem to miss these group buys! I missed the Pittsburgh one also! Please add me to your contact list. One another thought, would be fun to get together with some local brewers either at Vintage Beer or wherever. Have homebrew and willing to trade as well. I live just west of salem, oh.

    My First Threesome on BrewDay!

Thanks! Those are just regular sized blow off tubes that fit in glass carboys. We modified the carboy bung for a super tight fit since better bottles have a bigger opening. It is a long brew day, three extract brews are definitely doable!

Hops - discoloration and holes in leafs

B- Hoppy, thanks all the info! The farmer alternates, corn and beans every other year. I don't think my 4 hop poles will influence his planting decisions, unless of course I share some really good beer with him! Haha. Thanks again Bill

I thought of that Cletus, had similar problems with some green bean leafs early on but haven't seen any japanese beetles this year. We treat for beetles, in about 1 week.

Hops - discoloration and holes in leafs

I live in Ohio and we had a terribly wet spring which I think delayed my hops from starting out solid. RIGHT Side against building: I planted these Cascade hops April 2009. This year was the first year I put up a hop pole and they are climbing well. Last year they had a good bunch of cones...

Electric wiring for fans in a keezer

Here is my fan... lol, duct tape and chicken wire The fan is an antec 3 120mm speed fan I had laying around. I wired it by using an old Linksys router power cord which matched to the fan well. It took me maybe one hour to make, notice the holes at the bottom to pull the cold air in and up.
