    I got my new Ipad3 last night and bought Beer Alchemy. I was able to take my BeerSmith recipes and export them as BeerXML and them import then easily into Beer Alchemy.

    Grains - 6 row vs. 2 row on the specialty malts?

    Thanks for the info... I guess I just never noticed because those malts where I buy them online never said 6 row. I bought at a lhbs last night.

    I picked up some bags of specialty grains, mostly Briess Caramel Malt 120l, Briess Caramel Malt 40l, Briess Vienna malt, CaraPils, etc. for 3 different recipes. I guess I always assumed these were all 2 row grains. On the package though it clearly says 6 row! What's the norm for these...

    Are these looking healthy?

    My hops are starting to bud some here in NE Ohio. I know the sun is shining and it's 70 degrees here today in Ohio! Just looking for tips on the hops, should they be trimmed back more or are they looking good? Mt. Hood - Planted them last spring. Cascade Hops - transplanted this one...

    Sassafras root in secondary?

    Yes makes sense the more I read. So maybe the safrole free stuff like Pappy's sassafeas extract would be safer. Good input guys.

    We used to make sassafras tea all the time from sassafras root. I just learned recently that they say it may contain carcinogens. I am probably already doomed in that case. Didn't they use to say that about peanut butter too?!

    Well you have some good points , I have a truck but no cap. I have our Element with plenty of space for maybe 5 bags total so not optimal either for yours and mine! But.... Beer at Monroeville sounds good! Lets see how it all pans out closer to shipping...

    I am growing Mt. Hood and Cascade! Last year was the first year for Mt. Hood and they came up strong! Cascades are on year 4 and doing quite well.
