I picked up some bags of specialty grains, mostly Briess Caramel Malt 120l, Briess Caramel Malt 40l, Briess Vienna malt, CaraPils, etc. for 3 different recipes. I guess I always assumed these were all 2 row grains. On the package though it clearly says 6 row! What's the norm for these specialty grains, 2 or 6 row? I've just always ordered the specialties without asking for 2 or 6! I am confused, only been doing all grain for 10 or so batches. I do the batch sparge method in a cooler.

Thanks for the help!

A fair amount of domestic specialty malt is produced from 6-row barley.

Thanks for the info... I guess I just never noticed because those malts where I buy them online never said 6 row. I bought at a lhbs last night.
