    Add fitting to Chillus Convolutus

I am adding my two cents to this. I tried the sloppier method and the solder did a very poor job filling such a large gap. I went with your method but My OD was around .580" of the chillers beer out. I had to turn about .040" off of the ID of the 1/2" before I could use it as a sleeve. Took...

    morebeer march pump assembly

I have searched the forums on this for a few days and havent dug anything up so its time to make an official question. More beer has released their high flow march pump assembly with a tee with a ball valve on the inlet side and a ball valve on the output. [sad thing is I was waiting for this...

Can you Brew It recipe for Uinta Wyld Extra Pale Ale

It has been in primary for 3 wks now, just checked FG @ 1.010. tasted it warm and flat and was excellent!!! Ive never had Unitas beer but brewed on a whim these two kegs will rock in 2 weeks. When I punched this beer up in Bsmith the bittering IBU's were way off. Adding extra 10 min for my...

    Question- Fridge vs Freezer

I would go with the freezer. I built a fridge as a kegorator and freezer both with collars and the fridge is not as efficient, I can't really cold crash in it. So if u ever wanted it as a dual purpose device your pretty much locked in to ferm chamber only with a fridge. If u have a keg setup...

    Hey Cincinnati homebrewers

ill add to this thread. tabletop is the closest to me, so when I need some yeast or small gadgets that are not usually expensive I go here. they have worked with me on price a few times, and I have seen "accidents" made in shelf pricing that they adjusted for me on the spot. so far the best...

    70 qt Coleman extreme cooler

I Have mashed 10G batches with my 70qt and even though I saw the cooler stay relatively stable, the less head space the better. I usually am No where near half full when batch sparging this size of batch. I have heard of placing styrofoam over the grain to absorb headspace. but its not...

What's your occupation: Engineer or Non-Engineer

Quality Tech/Cad Tech at a Machine shop. Associates in mech eng, and industrial design but I am a graphic artist who is taking welding courses. I should drop it all and BREW MORE but more money from better jobs = more beer widgets. (saying this as I empty out my corny of pumpkin ale)...

stupidly high mash temps. what happened?

Unfermentable sugars would result in a sweeter beer correct? Cause this stuff is not notably sweet. And too long in conditioning is what I ment. I was not referring to a stretched out sagging "long" rack. My carboys have that peppy perky 18 yr old type of rack.

stupidly high mash temps. what happened?

a few months back I made a (random what is laying around) pale ale with 2 row and a touch of caramel 60. This was my first and only extremely sloppy brew day. I was careless and dumped water in at a high enough temp that I waited 5 min and temp was around 180F. I kept stirring and waiting...

    "dem dudes drunk too"

hope general beer discussion is the right place, for a year or so I am always at work scanning through pages, turns out I had off today on a wed. to myself I came up with a plan till feb, coined it myself, called brewdays. I am a day late. srsly, dont steal my phrase till I get it into...

thought about adding priming sugar to my bk

makes sense. I am gathering all my shiny new all grain gear together, since my bk is with my welder at the moment, i decided to knock out my my last brewers best kit (that has been sitting around for 9 mo's.) not only is the grain and yeast old. I pitched a fresh safeale pack ontop of the one...

thought about adding priming sugar to my bk

thought about adding priming sugar to my bk is this a horrible idea? im going to force carb with my new co2 tank and kegerator setup, (soon to post build.) it would only boost abv right? or would it prioritize the yeast to do something wacky like prioritizing certan sugars to consume

Perlick 525ss length from outter seal to nozzle tip?

I am setting up my 90% complete kegorator that I have worked on for 8 nights straight now (will upload pics soon) and need to know this for the height to cut my cheapo built pvc tower and drip tray. measuring perpendicular from the tower to the bottom most tip of the nozzle. what is the length...
