I would for sure call them. Email can be mundane and its hard to get a sympathy vote from reading an email. Call em up and they will probably hook you up. Easier for them to say no to an email IMHO.
Ill be pouring friday (5-11) then getting back down there at 8am to submit 4 beers in comp and be a judge for my first time! long story short itll be a mini NHC for me. Kind of a practice run. I think I will be asking ppl who is part of HBT to place some faces with some names. 5-11pm free beer...
I have reservations for the Courtyard Philadelphia Downtown
21 N Juniper Street
Philadelphia, Pa
19107 USA.
.1 mi/3min walk and great news you have to walk infront of the justice center to get between the two!sigh...
I will add that I am excited to learn more about the BNA8. Between the BN, and you fine folk, take most all the credit for my brewing skills today, I would love to finally put a face to some names, pay respects, and drink happily ever after
Agreed. For those who are committing to going, I really doubt anyone would want to cut the festivities short by a day. Yeah, I think Ill spend the extra $10 for a 3rd day of Beercation
That was me, until I suckered a non brewer into going with me. wife got ousted once I realized her plan was only to go to shop for purses and crap.
We are both in cincy, maybe we can swap a few beers and share a few stories before NHC and end your solitude. Sh*t even carpooling and having...
same as I. This will be my first NHC and I did opt for the volunteering gig if offered. It is a shame as I will be out there sitting around in a bar waiting to get in friday.
I am a little confused why thursday would sell out but fri/sat would stay open. I mean, its at the same location? Not...
Yeah that looks like my 1st one. This replacement took me 15 min to wipe off all the cutting oil all over the rollers too.
It is a huge pain to make a warranty claim with them cause you never know any time frames with them. Shooting em an email now. Thanks
agree probably too small. I am thinking the stainless steel braid will take so much of the flow, that the copper manifold wont get utilized. as if it was just replaced with the ss braid alone.
I am interested in switching my ss braided hose out for a copper manifold design. Although I batch...
Has anyone ever been shipped a barley crusher, opened the box and saw this?
I will contact the seller again (sigh) and see if they can replace this.
I can only assume with all of the pitting on the peaks of the crappy knurl will be like starting with brand new worn out rollers, that will...
If I understand correctly, his context is flameout hops when a hopstand is utilized, adds bitterness. if you cool immediately then you are right and it is strictly aroma hops in theory (based on how quickly you really are cooling)
I still dont have a good understanding of the relationship of...
Hmm, Last time I was at brewmonkeys, I bumped into a guy who said he just moved back from denver. You working there now? Everytime I have been there lately its a mad dash to get to work and I run in for a pack of yeast and split. Ill be there sat am to crush some grain as I just sent back my...
Ill bet if you made a starter, that the 300 is still doing its job. dont tinker with it until the FG doesnt change for a few days. My 300 batches finish out quickly and always taste great now that I ferment at 62°F.
If I were you I would brew another batch and use the dry yeast.
if you only...
you can always hit the wort with o2 a few hrs after you pitch. I have been brewing lagers lately, and I will o2 right before pitch, and give it another shot of 02 within an 8 hr window of pitching, when all the yeast are still scrambling for o2 uptake. It has really reduced my lag time
My keezer holds 10 Kegs. When I lose track of one, or have other beer I drink up first, and end up having a keg sit around for 8 mo's or so, it still tastes great!
depends on how old the vial is. I prefer to try to double my growth each step, or 50 to 75 mill/ml (innoculation rate).
example: I brew 12 G batchs, so if my viability of a vial is 70%, that is 70 bill cells instead of 100 bill cells per vial.
I split the vial up front and do two starters...
