Where to use a propane burner

Where to use a propane burner

I was wondering if it would be safe to use my propane burner in my basement? I could keep the door open for adequate ventilation, but what concerns me is that we have a "forced air natural gas furnace" that would be about 15 feet away. I have an outdoor wooden shed that I built which I...

Priming with LME or Corn Sugar ...

I just bottled, using 3/4 cup corn sugar, yesterday. Most folks use 1 1/4 cups DME to prime. Not sure about the amount of LME to use for priming though. Good luck, drinker:)

    How long does extract last?

I brewed with two 3.3 lb munton cans on 11-4-06 and the LME seems, so far, to be just fine. The syrup was slightly darker though.

Rubbermaid coolers same as GOTT coolers?

Having a five gallon planter can be a good thing though... ...depending on what's planted in it, for instance hops or something in the hop family:rockin: If I decide to step on up the mashing ladder, I do have a rectangular 30qt Gott cooler that may be useful. Thanks for the feedback...

Rubbermaid coolers same as GOTT coolers?

A 5 gal cooler is definitely sufficient for doing a partial mash, right? As for my question "What I use is a standard 10 gal Gott drink cooler. As opposed to other brands, the Gott is specifically made for hot and cold beverages and therefore stands up well to mashing temps." Will the...

Rubbermaid coolers same as GOTT coolers?

I bought a 5 gal rubbermaid "victory" cooler from walmart today ($18.50) to make a mash-tun. Then stumbled upon this article that states they are different. I do know that rubbermaid now makes the Gott brand coolers. I think I'm ok with what I bought today. What are your thoughts on...

    Homemade bottle tree?

Yes. It would. I already have the oak post and am wanting to use the money on hand for ingredients.:D I was thinking on gluing strips of white bathroom sheeting (have on hand) on all sides, then drilling the holes for the dowel rods. If this small project starts aggravating me then I'll...

    Homemade bottle tree?

Great! That's what I wanted to hear. Thanks:mug: Monster Mash wrote: That'd make a bigger job than using the dowel rods. This beam I have is 4"x4". I want to fashion it similar to the store-bought b-trees having the bottles on all four of the sides. If anyone has a store-bought...

    Homemade bottle tree?

I've got a 4"x4"x90" square piece of white oak in my basement and I was wondering if drilling holes and inserting sections of dowel rods in them will work as a bottle tree? I'm thinking that the sanitation won't be good enough because of the porosity of the wood. Any thoughts on this...

    miss's problem

Why not? Let's see the medical evidence if that's the case. Your answer sounds like one of the "traditional" answers to me. My brother is an M.D. and he says that a sixpack a day will not harm anyone's liver at all. We're all individuals, which means we are all different in every way...
