    Grain mill station

I thought of the zip tie on the trigger but the trigger is angled and I was worried about the zip tie slipping off over time. I also got the controller for xmas so it was no cost to me. If you want to use a zip tie you could file/cut a notch in the trigger to keep the zip tie in place.

Still alive - just tackling a HUGE DIY

Jester, you have inspired me. I would like to design and build my own ICF house. Could you point me in the right direction? did you have someone design the house for you or did you buy a set of plans and make changes to them? How hard was it to figure out what type of ICF to use and install...

    Grain mill station

Yes got it the speed controller at HF. I even cut down the power cord on the drill so I didn't have any extra cord. The shoes will cost you 1 retirement and 1 address in a retirement community in Florida.

Who else has a mother in-law that does this??

My MIL is 200+ miles away. We get along great. I got her into making mead and my FIL just bought her a wine making kit that we made together. When ever I go there for a weekend, we will stop and pick up a variety of beers to taste that my FIL pays for. He only drinks liquor but is willing to pay...

    Metro Detroit Yeast Library

I had a kreezer mishap. I knocked the temp probe out of the kreezer and all my yeast and beer froze. Had to dump all the yeast and bottles of beer. Kegs have thawed and taste fine. When I build up my yeast again I will add it to the list.

    I couldnt believe my ears!

My wife helps once in while. She has brewed her own beer (she is the only one in the family with a medal for beer). She loves the end result. She has a better taster than I do so she tells me what is wrong or right with a beer. She gets me brew stuff for Christmas. She like the people in our...

Festbier Oztoberfest (1st place with score of 43!)

So I kegged this on 12-21-12 and I just tasted it last night 1-23-13. I know it could use more time lagering but it is a really good beer. I tasted it to see how it was doing. I plan on serving it on SuperBowl Sunday. I think I will make this again.

    St. Patricks Day 2013

https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f66/centennial-blonde-simple-4-all-grain-5-10-gall-42841/ This is a great beer and I'm sure you could use drops to make it green. When ever I have made green beer, I use 1 or 2 drops of green food coloring in each glass.

Imperial Stout Russian Imperial Stout (2011 HBT Competition Category Winner)

Hoplife, I was planning on doing a parti-gyle with this also. I wanted to do a 5g batch of the big beer and a 10g batch of the small beer. I would be adding grains for the second beer. Any info on what you did would be helpful.

Neovox, I would take the WLP400 WLP005 off you hands. I'm in Warren. Where are you at? I will have to see what yeast I have at home. I will be joining the list.

Cake pan + skateboard wheel + bike brakes = homemade peristaltic pump??

I have been planning on making one of these and just went on ebay and found the brake rotors for cheap $5.00 a piece and $5.25 shipping. Can't wait to build it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/160mm-Disc-Brake-Wave-Rotor-6-bolt-Mountain-Bike-NEW-Mountainbike-/160899976005?pt=Cycling_Parts_Accessories&...
