Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Thanks guys. I know there are some tradeoffs. Condenser means less boil off, therefore less overall volume of wort necessary to put in the kettle to begin with for the same quantity into the fermentor. I just wanted a rough estimate, and knowing the height difference should enable me to make...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

I may have missed the obvious, so forgive me if this is covered elsewhere. Assuming a standard 15 gallon kettle, how much usable volume can I expect to lose if I add a 1.5" TC port at the top for one of these condenser units? I'm considering going this route, but just want to consider any...

Weird growth 24h after adding sugar for carbonation, is this normal?

So, is it in a keg or bottles? I'm confused, just like the person above.

    ELECTRIC ALL GRAIN SYSTEM QUESTION

Maybe just because it's an (almost) inconsequential step? Or that it's dependent upon your setup? As in, the height of various pieces. Also, some integrated pumps may not be situated ideally for transfer, depending on where they pull from, exactly. Just a guess.

    Octoberfest

Even NB has some: Dingemans Belgian Munich Malt It's just Munich malt made by one of the Belgian maltsters. I doubt anyone could tell the difference between any of them and the German Munichs, unless it's a SMASH beer. Even then, I think it would be pretty tough.

    Cleaning a Copper Wort Chiller

It doesn't need to be shiny to work properly. Just clean. In use, you do want to put it in the wort several minutes before chilling. This is to sanitize the chiller to prevent unwanted microorganisms from getting started before your yeast does.

    The "Dear" , "Sincerely" thread

Dear people who wear masks below their noses, I've asked for a shiny new set of pliers for Christmas. I'll soon be rotating your noses 180 degrees with my new toy when I run into you grocery shopping. Sincerely, Someone responsible and respectful, even though masks are no fun

    Fermentation Process for a Lager

While I'm sure there is *some* impact, I have difficulty seeing that the need for time scales linearly with volume or height. At any rate, what I'm talking about here is not the duration of time it takes for a particle to travel top to bottom (that doesn't seem controversial here) but rather...

    Fermentation Process for a Lager

This seems to be one of those perennial debates. Suffice to say that it's not incorrect to do it either way, but some people feel strongly or claim to have compelling evidence that one way is better than the other. I'll let you decide if you want to go down that rabbit hole. As to the...
