New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I am going to cold crash over the weekend. I have a glycol chiller now. But last year when this happened, wouldn't it have been fixed after being in the keg for a little bit?

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

So I have a NE IPA in my fermenter right now. Fermentation seems to be about over. Gravity is at 1.009. I brewed it last Friday. I added Dry hops on Sunday night. I am seeing something that plagued me last year, though not with every batch and it is one of the reasons I took a 3 month hiatus...

American IPA Trilium Melcher Street Clone

SO I am trying to decide whether to close my blow off valve and let some pressure build or not. I am 3 days in to my NE IPA. I added dry hops yesterday as my tilt indicated I was down around 1.018. Whats holding me back is a conversation with ss brew tech. They indicated that you really need to...

How does Other Half (et al) make “milky” NEIPA

I thought OH used Lactose sugar? Thats what they say on their instagram when describing a lot of their milkshake like beers. Just had one this weekend and it was incredible was going to add lactose sugar to my next beer.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I am currently fermenting for the first time with my tilt hydrometer. I pitched 1318 about 39 hours ago. FG was 1.057 it’s already at 1.020. Will most likely add my dry hops this afternoon.

Forgot to add flavor hops...can/should I dry hop?

Sure that is called a dry hop. Might not give the exact same flavor due to being added at a different part of the process but will be a plus no matter what. Also won't add any bitterness, just aroma and flavor.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

After a 3 month hiatus I brewed today! Glad to be back in action. Brewed a BIAB NE IPA with Ekuanot and Mosaic. Will be my first batch with complete temp control figuring it should have a positive effect on the outcomes. Also believe I have identified why I had some issues with my last couple...

    RO system recommendations

I am looking to do this as well. Kind of getting sick of the trip to walmart and lugging the huge jugs up and down the stairs, lol. Looking at this one, seems to have great reviews and price is not too bad. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003XELTTG/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

    Ss Brewtech glycol chiller

They claimed they were not the same. In fact they said they were thinking of working with them on a less expensive model but when they took apart the penguin they decided not to work with them. Actually told me I would have been better off buying an AC unit and making one myself, lol. I took it...

    Ss Brewtech glycol chiller

I was looking at the penguin. I had a conversation with SSBT and they did not have good things to say about it. Take that for what its worth, but made me skittish enough that I bought the SSBT. I have a lot of their other equipment and it has always performed well and when I have had issues the...

Chilling options for indoor eBIAB setup.

Thanks guys I will probably look into a counter-flow chiller like the Exchillerator Max. Seems to get good reviews, is not too badly priced and they seem to stand behind their products based on some recent posts I have seen.

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

So looks like he did something very similar by equalizing the pressure between the tank and keg. I am definitely going to try something like this with my next batch. Also I heard from SS Brewtech on a couple things. 1. They indicated that carbing needed to be done at low temps (as close to 32...

Chilling options for indoor eBIAB setup.

Hello all. I am looking to find a chilling solution for my future eBIAB system. I am looking to do a setup with Brewdogs TC port sprayer, so need a chilling solution that lets me keep the lid on. I currently have an immersion chiller but that won't work in that scenario as I dont want to have...
