    Motorcycle Fanatics, show your ride(s)

Good luck, I hope it works out. BTW: The book "Long Way Round" is much better than the movie (but the movie is still great!).

Naked City Brewing has a location!!!!!

Yeah... I wouldn't plan to stay at any of those hotels over on Aurora Ave (just barely North of Greenlake)... Although it's been cleaned up quite a bit, most of those hotels used to have hourly rates from what I understand. :drunk:

My S4R has an integrated taillight that is LED... It came with resistors to use, but since I only did LEDs on the rear, my blinking rate didn't change. Did you change both front and rear to LEDs?? Austin

    Mcaustin's Black IPA

Point taken... I posted it here since it's more IPA in flavor and I think I must not have seen the Specialty Beers, but if the mods would like to move this to the Specialty Beers category, feel free.

    Mcaustin's Black IPA

Update- I now have this on tap, and I'm really enjoying this beer! It has some very light smoky/roasted flavor, but has a good hop nose. The bitterness seems just about perfect to balance the roasted flavor, and the dry hopping with amarillo was a good choice.

    Motorcycle Fanatics, show your ride(s)

I'd like to take a Speed Triple for a ride... They seem pretty cool. I'd really like a 675 for a track bike!!

    Motorcycle Fanatics, show your ride(s)

Thanks guys! As I said... I pretty much love my S4R. I'm hoping to get it to the track this spring/summer, once the rain starts going away up here in Seattle. It's good to see several track pics in this thread, and some pretty cool bikes on here too! 19 red flags?!? WOW. I've been at a...

She's since decided that she needs a scooter to commute on (in addition to her Monster). It's a Buddy 125cc. Back in September, I couldn't resist, and traded my 800SS in for a 2007 Monster S4R... I love this bike.... So that's our bike story so far :)

How did I not see this thread earlier?!? Here's my starter/learner bike (and me looking goofy) that I bought for both my wife (gf at the time) and me to learn on; 2001 Buell Blast. It was a great starter bike... Then, I bought my 2005 Ducati 800SS. Here's the two of us on the track at...

Washington Cask Beer Festival - Seattle 3/22

My wife and I will be there for the evening session too. Post up if you guys are planning to meet somewhere, this is my first time at the Cask festival, but I've been to most of the other beer festivals in Seattle in the past year or two. Looking forward to this one! Austin

Is Naked City going to be pouring at the Cask Beer festival? I'll definitely be there (either way)!

    Black IPA Recipe help

Well, I brewed this recipe two weeks ago, with the only change being Vienna instead of Melanoiden malt (modified recipe linked in my signature). I just took a sample of it and I'm pretty excited for this one to get dry-hopped and kegged! It's not exactly what I remember the "Black IPA" that I...

    cutting a test jar

Big +1 I used to take a sample when I racked to secondary (anywhere from 10 - 30 days after brewing) and then again when kegging. Now that I have my Minibrew conicals, I really only sample prior to kegging - which is typically sometime after a month or so after brewing. I also tend to...

    cutting a test jar

Sure, you could probably just cut it with a hacksaw. I drink the samples I take though, and share them with whoever happens to be around (usually my wife) so that they can also see how beer progresses as it matures. For that reason, I've not been too concerned with the size of my hydrometer...
