    I washed yeast for the 1st time last night. I washed California Ale yeast from my brown ale. I followed a thread here on HBT, but I'm not sure if I did it right. Is that all yeast on the bottom? These jars have sat in the fridge for the past 24 hours or so.

    Ok this could be a dumb question. When I use a beer thief to draw a sample, I can't read my hydrometer because of the foam from the star-san. Can I rinse the thief after I sanitize it to get rid of the foam?
