So.. I got my setup going. I'm due to brew my first batch in yeaaaaars this Saturday or Sunday on my spike 15g solo. I have 3 brand new kegland 5g kegs. I figured I would soak them in pbw. And rinse them so they are ready to fill with starsan on brewday and use the fermentation to push the...
Amazon has one too just late Nov and Dec delivery so not end of world. I can just disconnect hoses for first two brews.
Amazon.com 1". So .87" inside if that's what spike is using
Yea I've seen those. It appears to be 1.5" bore as well I gotta get up and measure spikes but I think they use 1" conduit on their 1.5" tri clamp fittings
Your right that wire I was able to pull out on my own without unscrewing it. Unless after it dries it was able to move. But yes I noticed that and pulled it out with my hands very easily.
@Bobby_M im looking for a 3way TC so my spike solo doesnt drip disconnecting my quick connects to put chiller on last 5 min of boil then switching back.. please tell me you have a 1.5" TC 3 way with the inner diameter the same as what Spike uses for their flow and elbow. im not home but i think...
SPIKE already emailed me back on a sunday and said they will send one out tomorrow for me. They started to add extra solder on joints because they have one other come in with a similar issue. So they were familiar with my failure thankfully, working on fixing the issue from future panels and...
i hope they will.. its a matter of rush to get me one.. or just put me back in a wait and get one whenever I get one... if I can get one by saturday i can probably knock this red ale out saturday night. and probably keep my yeast starter in fridge.. otherwise toss it and get a new 001 and redo...
I'm pretty frustrated. Now I gotta figure out what to do with my starter since it's gonna sit in fridge for as long as it takes for spike to get one in my hand
My new solo panel fried. Bad QC. The neutral has a bad solder. Snapped off and touched the hot. Frying it. And the neutral wire was loose. Check these pictures out. I have a yeast starter done ready to go. And now I'm done until I can get a new one and who knows when that can be?
They are...
is the top total water the total water 8.56g I need to fill my kettle for my Biab no sparge brew? so my salts would be based on that number? or half way down my image it shows mash volume needed. 9.42g. I'm confused. I'm to new to this stuff LOL
This just answered my question with bru'nwater. Pale 2 row, caraform, caraaroma, and melanoiden are in recipe and I'm trying to figure out if they are base, acid, roast, crystal. Lol glad I found this
I just swapped it in beersmith in case I can't get 001 in time. It dropped my profile for this beer from 6.0 to 5.7% alc with 70% efficiency
I wonder what the difference in flavor profile between the two as I'm new and haven't used either lol
Yea thanks. I'm tired of second guessing
Ok thanks. I'm tired of second guessing and panicking. I'm going for it. Single pass only we'll see how the first brew goes for efficiency
