it being a wheat you don't need to secondary, it's actually recommended that you not. Usually wheats are good for 2 weeks prime and then bottle.

    Irish Blonde and American Red

I think the most interesting part is the hops, a blonde-red with cascade and a red blonde with ekg.... I don't think changing the yeast will make a noticeable difference as long as you keep them below ester production. interesting experiment keep us posted.

Yep, i sanitize very well.... the fermenters and tubing sit in bleach water from the beginning to the end of the brewday.... i try not to take too many chances. Out of all my batches i think i've only had 1 that got infected and it was still bad ass...

So today i brewed 2 lagers. I made starters and stepped them up yesterday (WYeast Bavarian Lager) and brewed today. An oktoberfest and a Traditional Bock. Well i was going to decoction mash but i had just enough time to brew the two. Started the Oktoberfest at 133, then stepped up to 152...

    Favorite Zombie Movie?

Let's be honest about this if a zombie infection were to break out YES a zombie could theoretically run. Think about this, zombies are dead, but rigormortis doesn't set in right away, which is the reason dead zombies are so slow. So, for a while after they become zombies they could run, then...

    Zombie Survival Rating..

none read through the answers..... BTW an Axe has more practical applications than a katana in a zombie outbreak, you get more points for choosing an axe.... I chose Assault Rifle and Axe, my reasoning. 1)axe has more applications 2) i plan on shooting them from farther away, plus if...

    Hello from Memphis TN

yeah, my brew partner stopped in there one day just to see what they had. He was completely creeped out, the place was in total disarray, and if you've ever called the place he sounds drunk, permanently. Mike is really a good guy, try something out of his kegerator, he has great stuff. Not...

    Ive got 2

Mainly probably because of the nearness of the molecules. If it's not PET or at least HDPE it's likely to oxydize or corrode from the alcohol.

    Why God, Why?

Wow, i guess the largest body of protestants in the world are screwed, us lutherans like beer, in fact Martin Luther's wife brewed beer (she was a nun), not to mention Martin Luther said that the best beer a man could drink was an Einbecker Shwarzbier. Martin Luther - "We old folks have to find...

Bad Batch After Bad Batch After Bad Batch!!!

Never hurts to sanitize them anyway, he could be pulling them out of an already opened bag.

Bad Batch After Bad Batch After Bad Batch!!!

Another question, how do you sanitize your bottles and caps? How do you clean them too? It's quite possible your cleaning or sanitizing job on the bottles isn't as thorough as you might think.

Bad Batch After Bad Batch After Bad Batch!!!

That's very true. I concur in this situation that it's most likely due to rinsing. From my experience PBW leaves a film if it's not rinsed VERY thoroughly. I use a garden hose and spray out my kettle for 20 minutes. I was just adding that its not always just from cleaner (sorry for any...
