I put my efficiency at 71 and no Im not using their boil volumes but im only off by adding one half gallon. If I have BS set to read Garetz, it comes very close but throws off all my previous recipes. Im assuming they are using Garetz and my volumes could make the small difference up.

Anybody know how AHS calculates the IBU in their recipes? Im miles off when I input the data into Beersmith.

Vaseline/white petro jelly is absolutely safe for all orings, synthetic and natural. We use it all the time to help seal up fuel and oil orings in turbine aircraft engines. Think about how many petro based seals are in your car submersed in oil and fuel. Silicone and petro are fine to use.
