Is a Belgian Tripel too ambitious for a second brew?

I don't think it's too ambitious, my first batch is a Belgian strong ale from Austin Homebrew and it's really only tested my patience. Make a starter or at least double pitch and have your blow-off tube ready to go. I'm far from being an expert on anything but drinking tripels, but I don't see...

    Help me find my beer....

This could be difficult, since they rotate what's on tap, but I've got another 2 hours in my flight... I see that they serve Ommegang from another site. Rare Vos matches your description somewhat (not so sour), Ommegang has some chalice-esque glassware, and it is an awesome beer. I'm probably...

    Help me find my beer....

I was hoping this was like a geocaching thing, too bad. Perhaps it was Invocation from Wild Heaven, a very new brewery out of Decatur? http://wildheavencraftbeers.com/ They have 2 beers, which are pretty good, but not yet available in bottles.

    UPS.... You're stupid.

There was probably just a closed road or detour that would have made them have to turn left if they took it more directly to you. Left turns are horrible for efficiency. :fro:

    Fridge or Freezer

Ideally, they won't be running all that often, since they won't be opened and closed often and are well insulated. I read in another post that a freezer may have moisture issues at temperatures above freezing, but I'm not really aware of what those may be.

    restarted fermentation?

It seems odd to me that it took six days for this to happen, but I'm a new brewer myself. What was your original gravity and gravity when you racked?

Another reason to brew your own...

Wear the shirt but add "more jagged shards of glass than any other brand!" with a fabric marker.

    How did you find us?

I was skeptical of the one week in primary on AHS's directions for my Belgian strong ale and did a google search.

What Beer Was Your Point of No Return?

I will say that the individual beer that I enjoyed the most was a BMC I had in the quonset huts at 29 Palms. After a few days in the desert, it was refreshing.

What Beer Was Your Point of No Return?

A few people have mentioned Rogue Dead Guy. That was my first craft beer, but, I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit, it actually turned me off to craft beer. I didn't enjoy the aftertaste with my young palette that had only had American light lagers.

What Beer Was Your Point of No Return?

My "point of no return" wasn't so much a beer as a place - Brussels!

Are you going to watch the BCS Championship?

Is it too late to start a barley wine for the Iron bowl in November?

Are you going to watch the BCS Championship?

    Glory glory to ol' Auburn!

Are you going to watch the BCS Championship?

Snow day tomorrow! Good thing Wes Byrum has ice water in his veins, he's been kicking at Auburn for nearly a decade.
