    240 to 120?

I guess my real question is, if it is already wired for 240, how do I put it to 120? I'm not idiot with electricity I just am not familiar with the different kinds of plugs and connections.

    240 to 120?

I've been looking at RIMS tubes that are prewired for 240 and I want to run them at 120. If I have something that is prewired already, is there a way to run 120V power to it without rewiring the element enclosure itself? IE a hotpot or something similar?

Roland's Quick and Lazy Hard Apple Cider

What size batch are you making? For 5 gallons would you do like 5.75 gallons apple juice and 4 cans of concentrate? Wife likes ciders but I haven’t tried to make one yet.

Blichmann Tower of Power Gas Controllers w/ temp sensors, igniters, and solenoid valves

Hi, I've got two older model tower of power gas controllers with the temp sensors, ignitors, and solenoid valves to go with them. There is nothing wrong with them--I live in northern New England and am switching to electric so I can brew inside. Asking $360 for each or $700 for both. Will...

Which vessel to add sight glass?

it was from a friend of mine who started a very well known brewery up here in VT. He just wanted to pay things forward so I did the same and gave away my 3 keggle system to someone just starting out. It took me like a decade to acquire everything! Good points—I’m going to do the HLT.

Which vessel to add sight glass?

I agree the MLT sight glass is weird, but it also allows me to check the height of the mash so I can watch for overflows or running it too low. It is what it is—already came with that. Another route I could go is marking a pvc pipe to check boil volumes. Probably easier to put the sight glass on...

Which vessel to add sight glass?

I’ve been very fortunate to have been gifted the system pictured with a tower of power. I had a two tier keggle system before so this isn’t that far from what I had—just everything is a lot nicer and the tower of power is amazing. So, only thing is it only has a sight glass on the MLT. I had...

    Starter without DME?

You will train your yeast to only eat simple sugars. When you add it to your beer it will leave behind a lot of long chain sugars and you will have a poor ferment. Probably better off just pitching the vial in as is, or pulling a small amount of wort off, use that as a short starter to get the...

    Long Trail Ale Clone Help

Like I said before I don't have notes or a recipe from that beer besides what I posted in the first post. I would go with the second version though, cutting back the bitterness but also upping the late hops a tad and moving the mount hood to a flameout addition. You definitely want the alt yeast...

Krausen not falling, though desired FG reached!

You could try gently swirling the carboy to get the co2 out of suspension which is most likely holding up the krausen. One week isn't a lot of time though and it is probably best to let it sit a little longer.
