Opened up my bottom. Glad I did, my pump was completely off its mounting bracket. The nuts were just clanking around. Fixed it all back up. There is quite a bit of room in there. You could easily wire in a computer fan to blow in cool air or blow hot air out. Some pics:

@volx I know you want a permanent fix, but without adding fans, there is no permanent fix to cool this area. Mate sent me a kit with two new heating elements, two new thermal switches and new wires. This will "fix" your problem so to speak but will not reduce the heat in that area...

Last night my machine updated to maibock 3.1.1 while hardwired to my router without issue. I did a few restarts and it is booting up, but it is forcing the machine into the initial 5L clean each time I reboot. I will run the program when I have time and report back.

I’ve never had a boil over but I always use fermcap. It’s not worth the risk in my opinion. I have used fermcap in my boil and fermentation since the beginning.

I would open it up and take some pics. We can look at it. Everyone inevitably needs to open it up to service the pump so no worries about opening the bottom and snapping some pics.

Got a little care package from Hungary. Two new elements, wires and two thermal cutoff switches. The wire connections are covered in silicone tape, much like I have wrapped mine already. The thermal switches are 120C. Nice to see these parts if we ever have to source them independently.
