all grain extract kit...cutting it down?

All grain extract  Maybe you mean partial mash ? Also confused on what you were originally going to do. Were you buying enough for a 5-6 gallon batch and going to do 2.5 gallons splitting the grain bill? What is your recipe and how much is extract ?

I had bought 2 brand new kegs from kegconnection, the single handled 5g ball locks. Still sitting in...

Georgia Free 38DD mother of fermentation chamber! macon, ga

Built from the original 38DD fermentation chamber. Has everything but temp controller. Moving and don't have room worked great for ales. It is just the Styrofoam box 2", i never added the wood trim around it. Very solid. Pick it up at 1070 hill place macon ga. All i ask is you leave a message...

    First brew: Irish red ale.

Just make sure the wort is at final gravity before bottling. Take a few gravity readings a few days apart then bottle.

    Stovetop brew-in-a-bag???

That has to do with fly sparging I'm pretty sure. After rinsing the grains after a while the wort starts to get pretty thin, below a certain level like you stated can result in negative affects. I'm not an expert on this haha since all I do is BIAB :) With just a single dunk sparge from BIAB...

    yeast washing cell count

If you get around 4-6 jars of washed yeast usually just one jar is enough to make another 5 gallon batch. You may need to make a starter though, especially if its older then a few weeks. Here are some good links about washing and yeast calculating...

    Keg Pressure Question

From what you are describing it sounds like you burst carbed for 5 minutes and then put it at 10 psi. This will not maintain a carbed beer. To burst carb in order to get beer ready in 36-48 hours you put it at 30 psi or so and leave it for 36-48 hours, remove the head pressure and set it at 10...

Another Dumb Noob "Where do I go from here?" Post

I would rather improve the quality of my beer then gotten into kegging. You could read up/watch youtube vids on brewing and try to move up from kits to partial mashes into mini mashes or even all grain. For me it was about making the best beer I could. I'd read that all grain was the best, so...

Brewing beer (is it easier than I think)?

There is some great advice here on this thread, alot of which I was going to say haha. I would bet in your situation you dont need much equipment, maybe a bigger pot. And like mentioned here it doesn't have to be a full boil. 4-5 gallon would be fine for partial mashes. I will say that every one...

    sanke kegs??

Don't add water, rack to bottling bucket/keg when you feel its ready.

    Fermentation Times

2-4 weeks here then keg/bottle. Depends on when the beer gets finished and whether or not I'm kegging or bottling.
