    Goldiggie, Thanks for the info. I tend to overthink everything I do. (Retired mechanical engineer) I guess my concern is that when I quit seeing bubbles, I lose confidence that there is still CO2 over the beer protecting it. Jim

    I am in a similar situation as Sonofgosh. My IPA (my first batch other than MR. Beer) is an extract plus grain batch.
