    Propane burner

Very good! I too have always refilled. At least until the tank reaches it's next inspection date. I'll definitely look into getting a second tank! Can't wait to try out this new burner!

    Propane burner

Approximately how much propane should I expect to use to boil 5gal of wort? I have about 3/4 of a tank on my grill. I would assume that's more than enough...?

How much yeast do I use??

I'm going to split 7gal of wort into a 6gal carboy and 2gal fermentation vessel. I'm looking to use WLP320. For the carboy I figure about a vial of yeast should be good. But what about the 2gal vessel... Should I use the whole vial on this or a portion of it?

    Blood Orange Hefeweizen

I'm actually going to make a 7gal batch, keg 5gal and bottle 2gal. I'm doing 7gal bc I have a 6gal carboy and a 2gal fermentation vessel. For most of the ingredients I should be able to just add 40% more and get the same result in a larger batch. But a bit lost on the yeast. I plan on using...

Looking for a 5gal ball lock corny keg

I'm looking for 1 - 5gal ball lock corny keg. I'm located in Baltimore city so finding one in MD is preferred. However, I have family in PA and South Jersey so I'd be open to kegs available in PA, SJ and DE. Thanks! Jason

First Extract Brew - Wheat Beer

Okay, so I'll go back to the original plan with Hallertau hops. I'll look into the Centennial as well, thanks! I'll still go with the 1lb of honey malt, for science. I plan on brewing this weekend so we'll see how it goes!

First Extract Brew - Wheat Beer

I think I'm gonna go with the American yeast and see how that plays out. I thought since I'm going with a pound of honey malt that a stronger citrus note would help balance it out. Also, I just bought a giant kettle to do full boils. Would that change anything?

First Extract Brew - Wheat Beer

I think I'll go with a pound and see what happens! I've been doing some reading on hops. Thinking of switching the hops to Citra. Maybe the citrus will help balance the honey. Thoughts??

First Extract Brew - Wheat Beer

So I got into the hobby about 3 yrs ago and I've made a handful of batches using the Mr. Beer kit. I've really enjoyed it! I've made some really crappy beer and some half decent stuff. I've decided to make the jump to larger batches and started buying the equipment I need. With the Mr. Beer...
