Diving into Chinook. Never did a single hop with it, it's about time.

You can't lump all cara malts as the same. 2 pounds carared is not the same as 2 pounds of American crystal. Wayermann's site list it's use to 25% of the grain bill. It's more malty and no where near a sweet.

    Whole Hops--Are they bad?

Fresh hops make better beer. It's not worth it. Toss'em.

    Dry hopping bag or not

I've been zip tying a small sanitized paint strainer to my racking cane. A bag would never fit in the carboys anyway. No hops get into the bottling bucket or keg.

    24 hour yeast starter?

I make my starters out of the same wort. I'll have the full fermenters cooled and waiting as the starters go. When the starters start to gas of CO2 I pitch them. It can take as little as a few hours with healthy yeast. I've never had any problems doing this even with my last brew doing it. It...

    Super Serious Question

I've made quite a few, mostly more along the lines of CAP or premium/euro lagers. Even when I tried I always get more flavorful outcomes than high life or PBR. It's basically a good base malt of Pisner malt, American 2-row and/or six row with 20% rice or corn. You can push it to 40% but it...

    The Walking dead

I suspect Jessie and the Doc are swingers and worse yet I think the Doc may be a pediphile. Carl runs him through soon.

    Bottle conditioning vs. kegging

I prefer my lagers and stouts off tap and my hefeweizens and Belgians out of a bottle. Most everything else is fine either way. I've never had a bottle take more than a week to fully carbonate and bottles clear faster than a whole keg.

    Adding to an extract kit

I've added at flame out and gotten some of the aroma. My last one I added it at 150F (a honey/rye that is still in the fermenter). It probably would be even better to add it to the fermenter after fermentation slowed. That way you would not loose it up in steam or as much out the air lock. It's...

Want to Get Into Kegging - Need Feedback on Potential System

A 20 oz tank is about what you need to carb and serve one keg. That's not so bad but a much bigger tank is better for a kegerator. 20 oz tanks are nice when your moving them around a lot.

    Adding to an extract kit

The honey malt is fine. You could use a whole pound and not use the C-60L. Honey will not really add much any flavor but added during cooling you can still get some of the aroma. The aroma will make it seem like your tasting honey. Not using any late hops will help with that perception.

    Adding to an extract kit

A half pound of honey malt will only make it a bit sweeter. If you want to get some honey in the aroma add a pound of real honey at flame out. It will add to the ABV and dry it out too.

    Beware Miller Fortune Bottles!

I've used eight ounces and regular craft beer bottles without a single issue. BMC bottles tend to be lighter. Bottles are ratted to PSI not volumes. PSI is also temperature dependent. Keep them cooler and you'l have less problems.

    Iodophor vs Star Sans

I always mix up a few gallons of iodophor on brew day and I always have a spray bottle of starsan handy. I like to use both. Most of my stuff gets put on the iodopher bucket and just soaks the whole time. If something needs a quick sanitation I just spray it with starsan. I know I could get by...

    American Amber Ale Mojave Red

Sure, I've tried a lot of them and like them all.

    What's in your fermenter(s)?

Just moved 10 gallons of IPA to kegs and 10 of Imperial amber to secondary to dry hop. 10 gallons of dry stout is fermenting and five gallons of Vienna lager is lagering. Just bottled five gallons of a Trappist ale and have a rye beer boiling that I'm going to repitch the Trappiest yeast into...

    Manifold+Regulator+Manifold

It's probably just as easy to get dual primary regulators. All you need is the correct nipple to connect another one to the one you have now. Some have right hand threads, some have left. Lowes has reinforced nylon hose good enough for carbiong pressure. Running high pressure hose at tank...

How is this kegging kit? Is the taprite worth it?

The pressure would creep up. One didn't work at all and Midwest replaced it. I don't think either one work anymore. After using good ones I'd never even bother with those cheapos again. I don't know if the ones Birdman sales are bad but I do think is worth $15 bucks more for quality.
