1/4 water batch brewing to feed 3/4 room temperature water.

Ah, I see. I think he’s trying to do what I did. I appreciate the input! Will keep that in mind if I do a regular extract batch.

1/4 water batch brewing to feed 3/4 room temperature water.

Wow! The only time I used DME in a batch was 3lb in like 0.75g of water. I boiled it for 15 min and it was pretty dark after. Maybe due to the low amount of water? It boiled down to about 0.5g. I added 3g of room temp spring water and pitched Lutra. Was about 95F. Edit: it was done in 1.5...

1/4 water batch brewing to feed 3/4 room temperature water.

It’s worth a shot. Check out Dr. Hans “shake and brew” series on YouTube. Same idea. If you use DME I wouldn’t boil it for long (if at all)as it turns dark quickly. Flameout works. Even for all grain it’s worth trying, I think. Reiterative mashing might be needed like the other response...

Anyone Ferment in a Mini Keg?

You could use one of these lids: https://www.amazon.com/stainless-Dispenser-Stainless-Growler-Homebrew/dp/B07QCYRSRK

I can finally dry hop successfully.

Hop bong is basically a sight glass that comes with a butterfly valve. You can drop the hops in, flush with co2 and drop in the fermenter. https://www.morebeer.com/products/hop-bong-upgrade-kit-fermzilla-2.html ALDC is an enzyme. Check it out here...

I can finally dry hop successfully.

I wish I could get magnets to work correctly. Im just too go if I could make magnets work reliably I would. Skill issue haha. I’m glad that works for you. if you want to make a commercial quality hazy IPA, I think you need somewhere around 2oz/gallon. I used t90 pellets and I don’t think...

I can finally dry hop successfully.

I got into brewing wanting to make hazy IPAs right away and read up quite a bit. Went straight to kegging. I posted on here about dry hopping hazy IPAs and oxidation. I oxidized some even before transferring to the keg. Some things I read online just don’t align with my real life experience...

    Where to ferment?

Are you sending them off for competition or just giving them away? I got a nukatap counter pressure filler and it sucks to use for me, personally. Haven’t used a beer gun yet. The guys from my homebrew club just use a piece of beverage line on the faucet and fill it up to the top. They’re...

    Where to ferment?

I ferment and serve from the keg for beers that aren’t dry hopped. It works great. The only cons are you can’t ferment a full 5g and you can’t move the keg or purge it if serving from it, as it’ll kick the trub and yeast back up in suspension. I’ve never fermented in any kind of bucket, but...

Injector for adding small amounts of liquid to unitank under pressure?

Does it have ball lock posts? Home Brew Network has a cool injector video. Need like 1PSI or so, though.

    Oxidized NEIPA after closed transfer

Oh, 2oz? Think 1oz is proper Is that 2oz for 5 gallon? I think that’s double the max amount. Maybe that could cause a problem? I dunno. That looks super fancy. Maybe you could purge it with beer and dump some then fill the keg? Does that work pretty well to clear it?

    Oxidized NEIPA after closed transfer

Are you using sanitizer to purge the keg? Seems like there would either be foam in the keg if you mixed it up or concentrated StarSan at the bottom of the keg. I’ve tried both ways. I’ve struggled with this as well and I used sanitizer. I saw a guy on YouTube use water and metabisulfite...

Grain to glass in 3 days!

I appreciate your reply. I'll have to give a style like that a try. Pale ale type thing? My non hoppy beers so far have been great to me. When I've tried dry hopping during active fermentation(with no o2) the results haven't been great so far. As far as hoppy beers go, I really like the...

Grain to glass in 3 days!

I’ve oxidized two hoppy beers to where they were undrinkable in a week by simply removing the lid on the fermenter and dumping hops in. Even during active fermentation. Brownish purple cardboard water. I started fermenting and serving from the same keg to combat that. No issues. Now I use...

Grain to glass in 3 days!

I’ve been brewing for awhile now. I’m patient, but I always take a sample here and there just to see how the beer is progressing. I see these short grain to glass time videos. Every time I’ve tried a beer shortly after it’s done fermenting it’s been pretty ngarly, other than the fruited Philly...

Bierbot Brick - Alternate method of building a brick

I’m thinking about upgrading to 240v and Bierbot seems like a good option. I found this development board on Amazon that seems like it should work. Wanna take a look? Esp8266 with 2x 30A relays. Would be great to add a 3.5mm Jack on the enclosure for the temp sensor. Pins are broken out...
