FREE Lots of Bottles, AACo MD

I have an entire trash can sized recycling bin full of bottles free to anyone who wants them. I'm in Pasadena, MD. They're getting recycled tomorrow morning, so if you want them and can pick them up in the next week respond before 8 AM EDT. Probably 3/4 of the bottles are 22oz bombers with...

    4th Batch Tomorrow

You can also get some additional benefit from "swamp cooling" your fermenter. Get a Rubbermaid rope handled tub, or similar large, inexpensive plastic container. Put your fermenter in it and fill with water to the level of the beer inside. You can also aim a fan at the water and/or put an old...

    LHBS? lucky...

Pretty lucky here in central Maryland. One is 15 minutes away (and not far from my mom's house and my favorite liquor store, so I'm frequently there anyway). The other is maybe 30 minutes away. They each have slightly different strengths, so I frequent them both.

    Regulator gauge stuck at 5psi

No one answered, but I just replaced the gauge and I'm guessing that the old gauge WAS accurate, if I compensated for the offset. However, that's no way to go through life. In addition, as I was adjusting the pressure with the old gauge it wasn't really moving the needle right away. The new...

    Regulator gauge stuck at 5psi

Raising this thread from the dead because I have a very similar problem, though mine is stuck near 10. Before I even saw this thread, I did the same thing as the OP and removed the cover. If I push the needle down it just springs back to its original position. Is it safe to assume that if I...

    6.5 Gallon Carboy Handle

I brewed for years without a Brewhauler and used the handle rather inappropriately. I realize now that I was simply lucky and never paid the price. Once I actually had a Brewhauler, I will never not use one (or a DIY similar contraption) on a full carboy again. That said, my friends and I...

Longer outputs? But if your IC is already made this probably doesn't help you.

    propane connector to the burner

Oh, and this splitter shows what the threads and collar should look like. The threads on the two parts of the Y should look just like those on your tank. The collar (black plastic part) should look similar to the one on your hose...

    propane connector to the burner

Modern tanks have a male thread on them and the hose has a female collar that you hand screw on. Everything you get from Bayou Classic should be "modern" in this way. If platform size is a concern for you, as badmajon mentioned, the SP10 doesn't really support a keggle. The SQ14 and KAB6 plus...

    How much fruit?

I think you'll be fine. Boiling it would drive off the essential aromas and whatnot that you're looking for anyway. Citrus oil is anti-microbial, so as long as you cleaned the fruit, it's fine. The vodak probably didn't do much of anything, either. Note: I have never used citrus, zest or...

    Would this be ok?

You might be better off with a small piece of hose or plastic pipe that is appropriate for hight temps. Drill a lot of holes in it and stick it in there.

    How much fruit?

Strawberries should be in high season right now in WV (as they are in MD, where I've been enjoying them). My friends and I have done two strawberry beers, and they're doing a third right now (sadly I could not join them). What we did was brew a light, low-hopped base beer, hefe in one case and...

    Help with my First Keg!

CO2 Tank Regulator Gas Hose Gas Disconnect (like the one on your dispenser assembly, but gray) Hose Clamps If the beer is bad, empty it out and clean. You may need to unscrew the posts and clean them out inside. Watch out for the small poppet inside, to ensure it doesn't go down a sink drain...
