    Brewhemoth Tri Clover Valves

Too late for me... I am encouraged by positive recent transaction reports that were posted though.

    Brewhemoth Tri Clover Valves

Allright, I ordered the 1.5 inch pull handle valve from stpats. $67 shipped. I hope it goes smoothly...

    New Brewhemoth conicals!

True, but I scored a new 4" end cap off ebay for 10 bucks. If I really need the hoplup I can just drill that one and use the other undrilled one when I need to pressurize.

    Brewhemoth Tri Clover Valves

I have been able to locate 2 places that have a 1.5 inch for a decent price. One is on conical-fermenter.com which is a great price, but they are not in stock. The other is St Pats of Texas. The price is fine but the reputation that comes with this place is about as bad as they come. It sounds...

    Brewhemoth conicals?

I am planning on dropping a 20 inch thermowell in the 1.5 inch top TC opening. I have an extra 4 inch TC cap that I am going to drill out for a blow off hole. If I need to pressurize I will swap it out with the undrilled cap.

    Brewhemoth conicals?

I have asked them to think about building something like this: with a dip tube going down into the conical. No idea if they will do it. Some issues with DOT testing...

    New Brewhemoth conicals!

Hmmm, thinking about this some more and why not place the tri clover thermowell directly onto the 1 inch TC fitting. Then just buy a second 4 inch tri clover cap and drill it and place a gasket in it for the airlock? You would get the thermowell further down into the fermenter and you would...

    New Brewhemoth conicals!

Not in the side wall. I will be using the 1 inch tri clover on top to rig up my thermowell. I will be keeping mine in a fridge and will use a ranco + thermowell to regulate temps. Here is what I plan: Brewers hardware also carries a 20 inch tri clover thermowell. It would cost a little more...

    New Brewhemoth conicals!

I went to order that Brewhemoth I have been eyeing for some time and what do you know, they have updated the site with some new configurations! I just picked up the all tri clover conical for 454.99. What a steal!!! http://brewhemoth.com/tri-clover-brewhemoth They are also offering the...

    Cheapest Brewkettle?

Can't say I have seen that thread but the cheapest large kettle I know of is the Penrose kettle. Search for that one.

    decoction?

Well I say don't be afraid to do it. It will add more time on to your brew day but it is not difficult. I guess it depends on how interested you are in following traditional methods. Both ways will create a great beer. I call my brewery Revival Brewing so you can guess how I lean. Good luck

Hell ya! I am ordering my brewhemoth on Friday!! :mug:

Not much interest in >10gal batches?

Limits will differ from state to state. I know mine is 200 gallons a year. But I really don't think anyone cares unless you were trying to sell your brew. I say go for it, if you have the right equipment you will have no problem brewing 15 gallon batches.

best mash tun out there for the home brewer?

I hear you, those things look very nice. The big downside seems to to be the time it takes for delivery...

Not much interest in >10gal batches?

Well to each their own. I think for some it just comes down to equipment capacity. I switch back and forth between 6 and 10 gallon batches. I brew frequently and like to have a variety of beers on hand. If there is a beer that my friends and I like quite a bit I will brew larger batches. If...

best mash tun out there for the home brewer?

Ok, first let me start this by saying I am not looking for the best value... just opinions on which you think is the best. I am looking for something in the 15gallon range. I want to move from my 10 gallon round cooler to something all stainless. So far I am leaning toward those that are...

Help, wiring an Auber SYL-2362 and getting no power

Not sure what your talking about. The input power or main power for the 2362 is 120 VAC. I just received the replacment from Suyi last week and it now works fine when I hook it up to 120 power. I think you might be confusing what voltage of valve can be hooked up directly to the PID. In...

Help, wiring an Auber SYL-2362 and getting no power

Thanks, that is what my first thought was but just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. It really surprises me that the thing arrived DOA. It seems like everyone here is alwas talking up these Auber units and how they are better than some of the other no name PIDs out there. This...

Help, wiring an Auber SYL-2362 and getting no power

I started building my control box for a Brutus style system. I am using the Auber SYL-2364 to control a 120v solenoid valve. I put in all of my toggle switches and wired up the Auber but when I plug into power to test I got nothing from the Auber unit. It just doesn't turn on. So then I tried...

Cool. I am not knocking it or anything, I was just wondering. It is kick ass. Wish I had the $ for some of those kegs. I agree that thing should be in the shed... if it will fit =)
