I was not going to post the experience of my first All-grain attempt this past weekend but I feel I must be punished so here it is for your enjoyment. I was attempting an IPA with a total grain weight of 14 lbs. 13 lbs of grain and 1lb of brown sugar. I added all of the grains to my converted...

    Keg conditioning/ SHrinking C02 canister

Ok this is my double edged question. First my basement is approx 60 degrees and at room temp my CO2 read full. I put it in the fridge which is about 34 degrees with a single keg attached at 15 psi. With in hours the gauge said that I had lost about 1/3 of my total volume of CO2. That was 3 days...

    Keg Post Tool.

Thanks everyone. mine are a mix of 7/8 and 11/16. I have one that has a regular 6 sided nut on both the gas and out side. If I were to take them off and mix them up (No I have not done that yet) is there a way to tell them apart?

    Force Carbonation

I just kegged my first one last night. I had it at 20 psi with just the CO2 hooked up. I then thought it would be a good idea toput the OUT valve on all by itself with no line. Little did I know I had a nice stream of beer that shot about 10ft. opps. The beer at the time was at 60 degrees. I...

    Different batches with no head

I have made about 5 batches so far all different. Only one of them has a head. It has a little too much if you ask me. On the batch with the good head I used pellet hops. The others were leaf. Would this be the difference or I am just missing something? If you need more info I would be happy to...
