I'm thinking a walkout basement/patio with my storage area right next to it.. That way I can pull my brew equip out to the patio for brew day. I could also put my beer cellar in that room, run plumbing to it and have my bar right outside with my taps fed through the wall. I'm getting excited...

So my wife tells me today, "I can't wait until we build a house so you can have a room for all your brew stuff". Mission accomplished!! I'll start looking at house plans tomorrow. 3 bed/2 bath/1 brew room. Just had to share!!

I just polished mine off tonight and thought they were all very good. Third voyage was a little tough, but still enjoyable. maybe you just got a bad batch?

When I started brewing 6 months ago I pretty much jumped in head first. I tried some pretty detailed recipes and they all turned out pretty good. I didnt hit all my numbers but the beer was tasty. These recipes included a blue moon clone and two batches of strawberry blonde in which I added...

I made mine a while back with wyeast1056 and it turned out great. I took it to my beer club meeting the night we were tasting Scottish ales. Founders DB just happened to be on the list so we drank founders first and my clone after. All 10 people said they enjoyed mine better than the actual DB...

I'll test thermometer and hydrometer again tonight to see how they look. I'm on my phone so I'll have to get the recipes later but the three main offenders were 2 blondes and an Irish red. Thanks for the suggestions

I tested the MT thermometer against another and they both read the same. The first few batches had a lower OG than planned so I didn't worry about missing the FG as much. This last OG was right on the nose and still finished low. That's what made me think it could be me screwing something up...

I've been experiencing consistently low final gravity with my all grain beers (5 batches to date) Most of the recipes have called for 1.012 or so but my beers have been finishing at 1.005-1.006. Once I thought I mashed too high (158-160) so the next time I dropped to 152 but still the same...

^^This 1,000,000 times over! I think I enjoy the tinkering almost as much as I do drinking the brew. Now, when I'm tinkering and drinking the brew, it's bliss :ban: :mug:

Dallasdb, aren't you the one who posted to my thread saying $65 was too much to charge for a empty CO2 tank? Then you ask $5 more than what I had mine posted for... just seems wierd.
