So I welded the ferrule to what in the food industry we call a "pup" ie a short piece of tube. Then welded that to the face of the vessel. The hole size matched up perfectly to the 1-1/2 tubing. It's an old dairy tank, but still great stainless to work with!

Thanks guys. I made the fitting. I will usually weld in a 2" tri clamp ferrule and drill a hole in a s line cap and weld the coupling to the s line cap.this guy wanted it done cheaper so I welded a piece of 2" tubing to the 1" 304 ss lock nut

Thanks everyone. I'm goin to drill holes in the sides of the mold tubes. There's a piece o's stainless in the bottem of the mold that's full of holes and it sits a half inch off the bottem for drainage. I'm also goin to get a spring to put on the all thread to figure out the pressure. Anyone...
