    Yes... But when filling a CO2 tank you fill liquid not gas. Most tanks are not syphon tube cylinders so you would need turn the 50lb tank upside down to get the liquid CO2. A scale to make sure you do not overfill your tank. Safety equipment, liquid CO2 is a freeze hazard. High pressure...

    +1 on the dremel tool It sound like the bit has work hardened the stainless. Grind through the thin work hardened layer and try a fresh drill bit.

    Kegging procedures

    Is it better to stand them up or can I lay them down while they are carbing? No difference, if given enough time. Though laying them down would create a larger surface area in contact with the CO2, so the CO2 maybe would be absorbed slightly faster.

    "Out" disconnect issue?

    It sounds like the pin in the black plastic quick disconnect has broken off and there is nothing to depresses the poppit in the liquid out post. You can buy parts for the disconnects, but buy a brand new one for about $6.

    H'mmm that's a bummer. Maybe you need to passivate the stainless steel? Stainless steel quality / purity is not what it used to be. Some of the chinese stainless has terrible metallurgy, some seem spot-on perfect.

    Rasins in my cider creating lots of gas???

    Sounds fine to me. A couple of years ago, a cider with rasins I brewed fermented for over a month. I couldn't believe how strong and long, it just kept bubbling. It turned out to be a great batch of cider.

    Sanitize muslin bags when dry hopping?

    I throw the muslin bag in the sanitizer, soak it , squeeze out most of the liquid , fill with hops , tie a knot , toss into the beer.
